Ok then. Let's try this: Is the language file uploaded to the server? (language/en/mods/gamereviews.php)

Oh and I'll ask once again, what the heck is a "a Download Area Mod"???????

Well, I just went to http://swescape.se/gamereviews.php and it suddenly started to work! lol I really have no idea what was causing this.

Anyway, to fix the link in your forum's navigation menu:

In your current overall_header.html with Prosilver:

FIND:

Code: Select all

<a href="fc.php?sid={SESSION_ID}"

REPLACE WITH:

Code: Select all

<a href="gamereviews.php?sid={SESSION_ID}"

Sorry again about that error in my part. And I still have no idea why you were getting that error.

BTW, Has anyone else have trouble!?

Its the same thing, except that instead of games, you can put downloads with descriptions.

Ahh...I see. Well, to be blunt, I mainly made this Mod for Game Reviews and just Game Reviews as I am a member of a few gaming web sites who are or plan to update to phpBB 3 and are looking for ways to add user-created content and stuff. I might go back one day and alter it into a Download Area, but not for now. Sorry.

Everyone is more than welcome to take my code and modify it to turn it into a Download Area Mod though.

If there are no more big errors in this version, I am going to ready my Friend Code Mod for posting. Once I do that, I'll go back and start adding comments and ratings for the Review Mod. Basically I'll be going back and forth between the two while making games for patrikStar's Arcade Room and going to school...w00t for busy lives!

PS, FYI in gamereviews.php, if you scroll down and find the $listlimit variable, you can change that to make more or less reviews show up per page. It is currently set to 10.

Make sure you've done the edits for constants.php and created the table in your database by running the SQL command found in the xml file.

Solved already I just forgot to add the line on constant.php.

btw.. is there a way that other user could post comments on the review?
Also where can i change the permission on the review

That feature will come in 0.9.1...or so I believe.

what I was talking about was instead of "game reviews", make it "Downloads"

so a forum that have a area for downloads would use this as a page where downlaods could be found. example :

instead of :

Title ~~~~ Plataform ~~~~ Reviwed by ~~~~ Reviwed on ~~~~ Score

would be :

Sofware ~~~~ Size ~~~~ Type ~~~~ Posted by ~~~~ Rating

This looks like a cool feature that I would eventually be interested in implementing in a live environment. My first question would be: Are there any plans on implementing any kind of notifications to other users that "new reviews" have been posted. Similar to normal posts.
Personally I would only want it to be something like changing the text of maybe the link that brings you to the game review page, or maybe adding a little blip of text somewhere on the top of the board. Just an idea.

Anyhow, just curious if there were any plans towards this type of feature?

I notice that this is not seen on the ACP on the forum sections and thus can't alter permission of users viewing or editing the forum. for example i don't want the registered user to submit a review, what I want is that a certain group is the only users that can submit review.. Hope you get what i mean..
