I found a way to allow html parsing in Custom Title MOD; please be aware this might be highly risky: I'm doing it since I, as the admin, am the only one who can edit Custom Titles.
If you are aware I'm not responsible if you make the following changes: install Custom Title MOD, then open memberlist.php and replace this line:

Code: Select all

'CUSTOM_TITLE'	=> $custom_title,
With this one:

Code: Select all

'CUSTOM_TITLE'		=> htmlspecialchars_decode($custom_title),
Then open viewtopic.php and replace this line:

Code: Select all

'CUSTOM_TITLE'		=> $user_cache[$poster_id]['custom_title'],
With this one:

Code: Select all

'CUSTOM_TITLE'		=> htmlspecialchars_decode($user_cache[$poster_id]['custom_title']),
Thanks to Aexoden for this great mod.
Cheers

I just went to Board Setting in my ACP and got this:
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /adm/index.php on line 356: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, class 'acp_board' does not have a method 'board_disable'
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /adm/index.php on line 356: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, class 'acp_board' does not have a method 'dateformat_select'

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /adm/index.php on line 159: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /includes/functions.php:3719)
When I click on Board Features I get this one:
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /adm/index.php on line 356: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, class 'acp_board' does not have a method 'quick_reply'
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /adm/index.php on line 155: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /includes/functions.php:3719)

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /adm/index.php on line 159: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /includes/functions.php:3719)
It refers to my acp_board.php

The problem is with this (Which came from the install instructions)

Code: Select all

}

	/**
	* Custom Title MOD mode method
	*/
	function select_custom_title_mode($value, $key = '')
	{
		$radio_ary = array(0 => 'CUSTOM_TITLE_MODE_INDEPENDENT', 1 => 'CUSTOM_TITLE_MODE_REPLACE_RANK', 2 => 'CUSTOM_TITLE_MODE_REPLACE_BOTH');

		return h_radio('config[custom_title_mode]', $radio_ary, $value, $key);
It opens but doesn't close

When I add a } after it I then get this:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in C:\xampp\htdocs\community\includes\acp\acp_board.php on line 1055
Line 1055 is ?> and their is no blank spaces or lines after it, When I take out the code above I can access my two modules, The problem is with the code above.

To fix my issue, In the install instructions:

Instead of adding:

Code: Select all

}
   }

   /**
   * Custom Title MOD mode method
   */
Add this instead:

Code: Select all

   }

   /**
   * Custom Title MOD mode method
   */
and instead of

Code: Select all

}

   /**
   * Custom Title MOD mode method
   */
   function select_custom_title_mode($value, $key = '')
   {
      $radio_ary = array(0 => 'CUSTOM_TITLE_MODE_INDEPENDENT', 1 => 'CUSTOM_TITLE_MODE_REPLACE_RANK', 2 => 'CUSTOM_TITLE_MODE_REPLACE_BOTH');

      return h_radio('config[custom_title_mode]', $radio_ary, $value, $key);
Add this instead

Code: Select all

}

   /**
   * Custom Title MOD mode method
   */
   function select_custom_title_mode($value, $key = '')
   {
      $radio_ary = array(0 => 'CUSTOM_TITLE_MODE_INDEPENDENT', 1 => 'CUSTOM_TITLE_MODE_REPLACE_RANK', 2 => 'CUSTOM_TITLE_MODE_REPLACE_BOTH');

      return h_radio('config[custom_title_mode]', $radio_ary, $value, $key);
}
That fixes it.

Got this error in viewtopic:

Code: Select all

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /viewtopic.php on line 1816: Undefined index: custom_title
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions.php on line 4670: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /includes/functions.php:3759)

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions.php on line 4674: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /includes/functions.php:3759)
Any ideas how to fix it?

Double check your edits in the includes/functions.php

Also read this post and the one below it. http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... #p12932110 (The edits are for includes\acp\acp_board.php)

Double check your edits in the includes/functions.php
There is no edits in functions.php for this mod and in viewtopic.php everything is corrent.
1816 line in viewtopic.php:
'CUSTOM_TITLE' => $user_cache[$poster_id]['custom_title'],

Thanks

Based on the error message, either an edit is missing or in the wrong place in viewtopic.php, or something has gone wrong with the database. (Either the database installation script was never run, though I'd expect other messages if that were the case, or the current custom title mode has gone wonky. You might try changing the mode and then changing it back to be sure it's set correctly.)

This might be a stupid question, but where are users supposed to edit their custom titles?
The mod's settings section shows up in ACP, but there's no way to add/change the custom title in the UCP. Did this not install properly (AutoMod didn't print any errors)?

I installed it via AutoMod, I don't think that could happen?
