I am working on converting the install to the new XML install standard. No date available. Busy in life at the moment.

To remove it, you will need to go in through your SQL tool (i.e. phpmyadmin, SQLyog or whatever).

Code: Select all

delete from phpbb_config where config_name = 'medals_mod_version';

Visit the member's profile and there will be a link at the top:
[ Administrate user ] [ Banning ] [ Test out user’s permissions ] [ Medals Control Panel ]
Those are the links that display to me (admin) when I click on a member's proflile. Click on Medals Control Panel and then click on Award Medal. ;)

Hi I have a problem with this module

the installation was succesfull, but then I found problem in administration, everything seems to be ok, but, when I try to give someone permission to "Can award medals to users" and I click on apply the permission is reseted for this user.

Can anyone say me, where is the problem? Could it be, in language I'm using? or that I used files from forum with portal to edit and moved to non-portal ?

If you can see the ACP permissions, then that is good. At that point, it is using the phpbb3 permission system, it shouldn't be this mod at that point.

Are you the admin (user id 2)?

Can you adjust the permissions for something not medals related for that user?

The permission system with phpbb3 has a very simple setup and function. What it does to function is set values in a table and the code reads the permissions for that user and their groups. Then, the code will check (in the medals case) if the user's auth is set (true or false) for the needed setting, then it will or will not show or allow access to that part.

Setting permissions is setup by adding a couple lines in a table. That's all. This was done if you can see them on the ACP Permissions tab.

Hi There It Seems That I Have Successfully Installed This Mod But Look What Happens When I Enter This Code In - All Goes Well Until Last Bit.

This Code Is The Culprit If Removed - Its Fine

Code: Select all

					<!-- BEGIN medal -->
					<!-- IF postrow.medal.S_HAS_MEDALS or postrow.medal.S_HAS_NOMINATIONS --><br /><b>{L_MEDALS}:</b> {postrow.medal.MEDALS_COUNT}{postrow.medal.MEDALS_NOMINATED}<!-- ENDIF -->
						<!-- BEGIN medal_row -->
						<br />
							<!-- BEGIN medal_col -->
								<img src="{postrow.medal.medal_row.medal_col.MEDAL_IMAGE}" border="0" alt="{postrow.medal.medal_row.medal_col.MEDAL_NAME} {postrow.medal.medal_row.medal_col.MEDAL_COUNT}" title="{postrow.medal.medal_row.medal_col.MEDAL_NAME} {postrow.medal.medal_row.medal_col.MEDAL_COUNT}" {postrow.medal.medal_row.medal_col.MEDAL_WIDTH} {postrow.medal.medal_row.medal_col.MEDAL_HEIGHT} />
							<!-- END medal_col -->
						<!-- END medal_row -->
					<!-- END medal -->
I Placed It Before
<!-- IF postrow.S_PROFILE_FIELD1 -->
<!-- Use a construct like this to include admin defined profile fields. Replace FIELD1 with the name of your field. -->
And After

Code: Select all

				<!-- IF postrow.POSTER_POSTS != '' --><br /><b>{L_POSTS}:</b> {postrow.POSTER_POSTS}<!-- ENDIF -->
				<!-- IF postrow.POSTER_FROM --><br /><b>{L_LOCATION}:</b> {postrow.POSTER_FROM}<!-- ENDIF -->

The profile information looks good on the side. I think you are referring to the bar of things above the post? I would have to say that you will need to adjust something for this to fit into your style/template. Perhaps look at the .css code and see if they look similar. Make sure you're starting with the prosilver or subsilver edits depending on your template.

Just the simple questions: Did you refresh your style's template, imageset and theme caches in the ACP? Clear your cache?

I Have Ran The Cache - I'm Using E107BB To Bridge So It Puts It In A Menu For Me - But As You See It Overlaps That Box With Just That Code In The Viewforum_body.html

Also Take Note Of My Navbar Where It Says - Subscribe Topics - It Repeats Them - Some Are Links Some Are Not

The overlapping of the box I think is because of the navbar. I don't know how that code works for your site. You'll need to make those adjustments unless there is someone else who has done it in the style you're using.

Sorry I can't help out that much. When it comes to style help, if it's not prosilver or subsilver2, then I can only help out with specific questions and detailed code. And even still, my knowledge there will be limited.
