Gilligan53: I see where the issue is. Thank you for uncovering it. I would have to assume the use could not be awarded the medal because he already has it and/or the medal is not setup to be awarded multiple times or enough times.

Mircea007: Did you upload the template images? (I would assume yes). Did you refresh your template imageset and theme? Clear your cache?

hmm. Probably has to do with the location of the image file. I have a ticket on my site to fix that. I may be the answer to your issue with the image. But, you should be able to use the image "button" sill.

Will this issue be resolved?

It's because you have more than 127 medals. This one did my head in.

TINYINT

Integer data. The signed range is -128 to 127. The unsigned range is 0 to 255. Storage size is 1 byte.

You'll need to go in to phpmyadmin and change the column 'id' to

SMALLINT

Integer data. The signed range is -32768 to 32767. The unsigned range is 0 to 65535. Storage size is 2 bytes.

Gilligan: Their are two things you are seeing. One is that the medal doesn't seem to be setup properly for multiple awards. Check the medal to make sure that the medal can be awarded more than the number of times the user has it awarded to them now. Second, the username is just not displaying properly and should not be stopping the medal from being awarded, check the first issue.

Have you tried to use the username_clean value when awarding the medal? Check in the users table for that users clean value and award the medal to that. It may be that what you're typing in to award is not the same as what the user typed.

The displaying of the name on that error page will be corrected.

RadiantAlpha: You have done some big changes to the medals code. Good to see you have made it work for your needs. I shall double check the table setups. I didn't expect anyone to use an extreme number of medals. And, might have be using signed values on accident. I shall double check that.

structor wrote:Hello!

This is a great MOD for phpbb3.
I administrate an Icy Phoenix site about whist and backgammon tournaments, and I want to convert it to phpbb3 (I already did that on a test subdomain and works perfect).

Now, we have hundreds of users that were awarded with medals and I wonder if it's possible to consider making a page that shows a top of the awarded users, by number of medals received.
At this moment I only have a simple, ugly page that I manually made for it, but I show you for example of what I have in mind.

http://doizecisti.ro/hall_of_fame.php

Thank you for the translation. I saw you posted it over at my test site. TY.

Creating something along these lines very possible and shouldn't be too difficult. Much of it is just layout. The rest is doing the DB queries to gather the data you need to be able to display. I am very busy with other projects at the moment. Might I suggest you create a feature request using the tracker on my test site? This way, I don't forget. And if anyone else would like to take a crack at it, I would be happy to make it available via my site's contributions or within the mod's contrib folder.

There is an error in the isntall file, and some of your root files..

You need to find medals_active in includes/functions.php, /medals.php and i believe also in includes/acp/acp_medals.php

and replace it to medals_activate

or asp I just reliazed you can also just adjust in your phpmyadmin config table the medals_activate to medals_active :S

Otherwise you get some nice errors

Is there a possiblity to replace one Medal with another? I want some medals of a typ, who only can be changed, but canĀ“t be collected.

For example (with point & shop mod), a user buys medal_1 and now have enought points for medal_2. He buys medal_2, so its not necessary that he still have medal_1.
Medal_2 have to replace medal_1. Does someone have a idea or a snippet, to get this work?

Rotsblok: Thank you for the info. I will investigate and update.

Shauku: You could use the Device to put the second/third/etc... medals over the first. They buy the same medal and each time it could "add" the device to the first medal and as long as your medals are the same size, it will cover the first.
