Hi Gremlinn,

as it looks like you forgot to add the sorting stuff to your last version. Also I changed the ACP HTML for the description from a textline to a textarea. Looks a little better, when you see the whole given description ;)

Here again the codes for both. First the sorting stuff from madmartyau:

includes/acp/acp_medals.php (edit part):

Search:

Code: Select all

				if ($dh = opendir($dir))
				{
					while (($file = readdir($dh)) !== false)
					{
						if (strlen($file) >= 3 && ( strpos($file, '.gif',1) || strpos($file, '.jpg',1) || strpos($file, '.png',1) ))
						{
							if ($medals[$medal_id]['image'] == $file)
							{
								$options .= '<option value="' . $file . '" selected="selected">' . $file . '</option>';
							}
							else
							{
								$options .= '<option value="' . $file . '">' . $file . '</option>';
							}
						}
					}
					closedir($dh);
				}
Replace with:

Code: Select all

				$dirfile = array();
                if ($dh = opendir($dir))
                {
					while (($file = readdir($dh)) !== false)
					{
						if (strlen($file) >= 3 && ( strpos($file, '.gif',1) || strpos($file, '.jpg',1) || strpos($file, '.png',1) ))
						{
							array_push($dirfile,"$file");
						}
					}
                   closedir($dh);
                }
                natsort($dirfile);
                foreach ($dirfile as $key => $value)
                {
					if ($medals[$medal_id]['image'] == $value)
					{
						$options .= '<option value="' . $value . '" selected="selected">' . $value . '</option>';
					}
					else
					{
						$options .= '<option value="' . $value . '">' . $value . '</option>';
					}
                }
includes/acp/acp_medals.php (add new part):

Search:

Code: Select all

				if ($dh = opendir($dir))
				{
					while (($file = readdir($dh)) !== false)
					{
						if (strlen($file) >= 3 && ( strpos($file, '.gif',1) || strpos($file, '.jpg',1) || strpos($file, '.png',1) ))
						{
							$options .= '<option value="' . $file . '">' . $file . '</option>';
						}
					}
					closedir($dh);
				}
Replace with:

Code: Select all

				$dirfile = array();
				if ($dh = opendir($dir))
				{
				   while (($file = readdir($dh)) !== false)
					{
						if (strlen($file) >= 3 && ( strpos($file, '.gif',1) || strpos($file, '.jpg',1) || strpos($file, '.png',1) ))
						{
							array_push($dirfile,"$file");
						}
					}
				   closedir($dh);
				}
				natsort($dirfile);
				foreach ($dirfile as $key => $value)
				{
					$options .= '<option value="' . $value . '">' . $value . '</option>';
				}
To have a textarea instead of a single textline for the description in the ACP:

adm/style/acp_medals_new.html:

Search:

Code: Select all

<dd><label><input name="description" type="text" size="40" maxlength="255" value="{DESC_VALUE}" /></label></dd>
Replace with:

Code: Select all

<dd><textarea rows="5" name="description" cols="52">{DESC_VALUE}</textarea></dd>
Would be nice to both in the next release.
Regards, femu

not yet but you could use this work around a few posts above yours for deleting a user's medals (rough but manageable) :

And additionally:

Open root/medals.php and search:

Code: Select all

	case 'awarded':
After add (on new blank line):

Code: Select all

		$user->add_lang('ucp');

Hi,
I have installed MSM 0.11.0 and the Ultimate Point MOD. Work fine, but ther are 2 things:

1. If Ultimate Point System ist disabled, there is a debug info by trying to award a Medal:

Code: Select all

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/ucp/ucp_medals.php on line 136: sprintf(): Too few arguments
2. Is there a overview page for the medals available, so that users can browse thrue the categories and buy medals? (incl. prize (points))

Regards
Fishtown

you have a page to check the version of the mod "medal_system_mod_version.php"
but I can't find anywhere in the ACP , .MODS ...

How to integrate it between:

Medals Configuration
Here you can set options for the Medals Mod

and:

Medals Configuration Settings

So that it's showing for example:

Medals Configuration
Here you can set options for the Medals Mod

MOD Version Check

Medal System MOD is up to date
Current Version | 0.11.0
Latest Version | 0.11.0

Medals Configuration Settings

EDIT:
can it be this:
In the file root\adm\style\acp_medals_config.html
Adding:

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_VERSIONCHECK -->
<!-- BEGIN mods -->

	<fieldset>
		<legend>{L_VERSION_CHECK}</legend>
		<p style="font-weight: bold; color: <!-- IF mods.S_UP_TO_DATE -->#228822<!-- ELSE -->#BC2A4D<!-- ENDIF -->;">{mods.UP_TO_DATE}</p>
		<dl>
			<dt><label>{L_CURRENT_VERSION}</label></dt>
			<dd><strong>{mods.CURRENT_VERSION}</strong></dd>
		</dl>
		<dl>
			<dt><label>{L_LATEST_VERSION}</label></dt>
			<dd><strong>{mods.LATEST_VERSION}</strong></dd>
		</dl>
		<!-- IF not mods.S_UP_TO_DATE -->
			<dl>
				<dt><label>{L_DOWNLOAD_LATEST}</label></dt>
				<dd><strong><a href="{mods.DOWNLOAD}">{L_DOWNLOAD} {mods.TITLE} {mods.LATEST_VERSION}</a></strong></dd>
			</dl>
			<dl>
				<dt><label>{L_ANNOUNCEMENT_TOPIC}</label></dt>
				<dd><strong><a href="{mods.ANNOUNCEMENT}">{L_RELEASE_ANNOUNCEMENT}</a></strong></dd>
			</dl>
		<!-- ENDIF -->
	</fieldset>
<!-- END mods -->
<!-- ENDIF -->
After:

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_ERROR -->
	<div class="errorbox">
		<h3>{L_WARNING}</h3>
		<p>{ERROR_MSG}</p>
	</div>
<!-- ENDIF -->

Has this mod been tested on version 3.0.6?

When trying to install Medal System Mod I get the following error:

Code: Select all

ERROR: The column user_points already exists on table phpbb_users.
If it already exists, does that mean I can somehow go on with the installtion?

Hotmetal33: Yes, column exists, you're good to go.

Daryl Grant: Someone did say they put it under the signature. I was a while back. Hopefully someone will reply with the code they used.

Arte: The latest version was built for 3.0.6

dpower_20: When someone nominates a medal, it does not award the medal until someone who is given permission to award the medal goes and approves the nomination. It gets added to the awarded table, but has a field that indicates that it is a nomination.

Valcav: The page to check the version is for use with the Version Check Mod. It does not get added to the ACP.

fishtown: There is no function to "buy" medals. They are there to be awarded. If the points are setup, it will award (or even remove) points as an award and not something bought.

UPDATE: Now that the holidays are over, I will see if I can get back into the swing of things and get an update out for this to correct the missing code issue and continued planned enhancements.

There must be a typo in upgrade/Medals_System_MOD-0_10_3-0_11_0.xml

Opening it in IE8 gives this:

Code: Select all

   <edit>
---^

(italian, sorry)

It says it is impossibile to view the xml page.
The "<" is not allowed in attribute values.
