[ABD] No Avatar Mod

Post by IHMUN »

MOD Title: No Avatar Mod
MOD Description: This mod replaces areas where an avatar usually would be in the case a specific user doesn't have an avatar.
MOD Version: RC1

MOD Download: http://www.bbmodding.com/en-US/download ... d=3&what=c
Last Stable version: 1.0.0

Demo Board: http://www.bbmodding.com/en-US/community/
Demo Username: Not necessary
Demo Password: Not necessary

Requested by: GirlsGoneWeed on http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 2&t=582987. Hope you enjoy :)

Credit goes to Lefty74 for some new code. Code no longer has to be added to any template, instead it uses the functions_display file.

So, with this, if the user does not have an avatar, an image of your choice is added instead?

This can already be achieved without a mod by setting a default avatar for the specific user group in the ACP. It is called "Groups Avatar" it is in the "Manage Groups Section"

When I set a groups avatar for registered users, all my registered users with avatar will have the default avatar. :shock:

I think that is only if you do it after people have already set avatars - otherwise you can just ask them to change from it back to their own and its fine.

I'll have to find it on my hard drive. I had a huge hosting problem and somehow, my last hosting got removed. Now I'm stuck on a different host for now. I'll try and host it in a little while.

EDIT:
Link works now.

you want mirror on my server?
you can add to the firs post http://tukim.biz/na/NoAvatarMOD1.0.B1.zip
(it is the original file, i don't edit anything)

subsilver2 users:

1) upload "no_avatar.gif" to "root/styles/subsilver2/theme/images/"
2) open styles/subsilver2/template/viewtopic_body.html
find:

Code: Select all

			<!-- IF postrow.POSTER_AVATAR -->
				<tr>
					<td>{postrow.POSTER_AVATAR}</td>
				</tr>
			<!-- ENDIF -->
Replace With:

Code: Select all

			<!-- IF postrow.POSTER_AVATAR -->
				<tr>
					<td>{postrow.POSTER_AVATAR}<!-- ELSE -->
						<img src="{T_THEME_PATH}/images/no_avatar.gif" alt="No avatar." />
</td>
				</tr>
			<!-- ENDIF -->
Locked
