Yes. Actually, if you look at the demo site, you'll find it's already a "live board" :)

It's not that secure. Some of the urls come back how phpbb3 is default which means it doesn't seo all links properly. That is what I saw from looking at the china.com board. But, nonetheless it is a great modification, looking forward to more from this author.

i like this one, pretty simple

just need to put seo urls after posting

also i think the root .htaccess should be an add and not just replacing the file because it include protection for common.php and config.php

the /forums.html i think its not necesary, i tried to take it off with no luck, how do i do that?

also im looking to make my urls like this

http://localhost/forum/81/modifications-forum/
http://localhost/topic/628535/simple-se ... or-phpbb3/

tried to do some changes with no luck, it is possible?

Yes, it doesn't change all the links. We focus on posts and topics, and for some of the links like membership or search, we don't think it's necessary to change it.
Actually, I tried with the highlighted search result, but I find it doesn't support Chinese characters, so I give up :(

However, If you find some of the links are important, please tell me. Thank you.

for some reason if I use echo replace_for_mod_rewrite($content, 0); it will work

but if I use it without the ,0 (default) all forums say nothing exist here.

I like having the post name in the url, do you know anything I should try? I have already changed the second line in the htaccess file to RewriteBase /forums

Thanks

Rich

Works perfectly...

The only error is when i'm trying to enter in my ACP that there is a white page.

This is my log:

Code: Select all

PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function replace_for_mod_rewrite() in /home/ilmiofor/public_html/includes/functions.php on line 3489
How can i fix that?

Thanks

Is there any security risk if I replace in functions_seo.php (last lines):

Code: Select all

return utf8_clean_string($string);
with

Code: Select all

return $string;
?

Otherwise it works weird with Cyrillic sybmols (part of russian letters like "п" are replaced with Greek "pi").

Any other solutions?

OK - I have rejected from using Cyrillics in the the URL - the phpbb3 itself doesn't parse that as URL. So I implemented transliteration for cyrillic symbols....
