In ACP->.MODS->Phoogle Map Markers, below the table of markers make sure 'Use Special Markers' is set to Yes.

In the main ACP page, Purge the Cache.
In the 'phpbb_users' database table, is your 'group_id' 5?

Is this a live site I can look at?

German and French Languages

Post by BassFace »

I just uploaded the mod again with French(fr) and German(de) language files in the contrib folder. There is a plain text file with some additional language entries that need to be edited into existing phpbb files. Look at the text file and the install.xml and you should be able to determine where they go.

Thanks so much to pitas and pasqualekatja for their work to do the translations so fast! 8-) 8-)

Phoogle Map looks for a group_id that matches phpbb's amins group id, which is a hard-coded 5.

If you want to change it so users with 'group_id' == 9, search ./phoogle.php for this code:

Code: Select all

$group[5]['id']
and change it to

Code: Select all

$group[9]['id']
OR, what might be better -
find

Code: Select all

case $group[5]['id']:
and above it, add this:

Code: Select all

case $group[9]['id']:
			$member[$i]['user_phoogle_icon'] = ($use_special_markers == 1) ? '1' : $member[$i]['user_phoogle_icon'];
			$member[$i]['marker_group'] = 'admin';
			break;
This will make all users with 'group_id' == 9 show up with the special admin marker as well as administrators.

I'm sorry, but I don't follow either of your points. But I'll take a guess:
1. If you are asking 'can the user access the map config?' the answer is no. Only people with ACP access can. The MOD's UCP module is for them to input their map info (location, marker, comment) from their UCP->Profile page.

2. In the ACP, there is a 'Phoogle Map Settings' link under the .MODS tab. That is the page where you will enter your site's API Key.

Is that what you were asking? :geek:

8. Change the 'Module Type' setting from 'Module' to 'Category'.
9. Return to the 'ACP -> .MODs' page, then click on 'Phoogle Map Settings' to enter the 'Phoogle Map Settings' category.
10a. In the lower right, open the drop-down box next to the 'Add Module' button. Under the bold 'Phoogle Map [acp_phoogle]' heading,
select 'Phoogle Map Settings', then click the 'Add Module' button.
10b. In the lower right, open the drop-down box next to the 'Add Module' button. Under the bold 'Phoogle Map [acp_phoogle]' heading,
select 'Phoogle Map Markers', then click the 'Add Module' button.

10e. In the lower right, open the drop-down box next to the 'Add Module' button. Under the bold 'Phoogle Map [acp_phoogle]' heading,
select 'Phoogle Event Markers', then click the 'Add Module' button.
10f. In the lower right, open the drop-down box next to the 'Add Module' button. Under the bold 'Phoogle Map [acp_phoogle]' heading,
select 'Phoogle Map Users', then click the 'Add Module' button.

In the list above, make sure you have done step 8, and confirm the steps from there. You actually choose 'Phoogle Map Settings' 2 times, the first to create a category (that holds the modules) and the second to create the module that you use to configure the map.

You should have a .MODS tab page that looks like this:
http://bassface3d.com/uploads/phoogle_acp.jpg
Enter your API key in the area I've highlighted yellow.

You are very close!
But after you create the Category you need to enter it (Step 9 in the instructions: enable it then click into it) and then add the modules. So click into your Category 'Phoogle Map Settings' like in the picture below then add & enable the five modules. Then click out of the category (back to ACP -> .MODS) and delete the modules you have now.

Is anyone working on tweaking this MOD to be compatible with subSilver2?
