Hello alightner,

From beginning of this mode users have lot of problems with installation.
After long time I make fresh installation, and use AUTOMOD. (too many modifications)

This mod is 100% compatible with AUTOMOD. (some others not !!)
The only thing I made is combine install.xml and prosilver.xml file into one.

And it works !!! Even SQL works...

Maybe is this also solution for many troubles with installation.
If you need file PM me ....

Hi,
Seems already like a good looking calendar.
Still, I would like to know if there's a way for a "1 year view, or "next 12 months view.

The use for a calendar, integrated within a forum, is mainly to present certain dates (changing sometimes) on which there are festivities or other. We only have on average about 1 or two events a week, so a year view would be more appropriate...(or even better "12 next months view" or if none possible, something like next 4 months view might also do the job...

Thanks for the works already, and hope to have an answer soon...

regards,

Re: [Beta] phpBB Calendar 0.1.0 (alightner) ICONS

I really appreciate all the work and brilliance that went into this Calendar mod.
I have spent so much time with it and read everything I can find about tweaking it.

But.. you knew that was coming, ;)

My obsession is the small icons which I have only seen on your demo and as GIFs in the folder.
My 3.0.6 prosilver in production does work flawless without them.
I even created a test forum to just play with my icon obsession. Of course re-read the posts with an icon search and your documentation, including all configs of AutoMod and a manual install. Yeah obsessed...

So please confess.. it's a trick to torment we Blondes ..hehe
until then I will purge the cache a few times a day with the hope they will magically appear.

Regards and again thanks for a great useful mod.

Make sure you refresh you template, theme and imagesets aswell.

Then once you have done that delete your temporary internet files and they should work.

Anyone know how to fix this?

I just had the exact same problem. I ran this:

Code: Select all

ALTER TABLE `phpbb_calendar_events` CHANGE `event_id` `event_id` mediumint(8) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment;

ALTER TABLE `phpbb_calendar_events`
 ADD COLUMN `group_id_list` varchar(255) character set utf8 collate utf8_unicode_ci NOT NULL default ',' AFTER `group_id`,
 ADD COLUMN `track_rsvps` TINYINT(1) UNSIGNED NOT NULL DEFAULT 0 AFTER `bbcode_uid`,
 ADD COLUMN `allow_guests` TINYINT(1) UNSIGNED NOT NULL DEFAULT 0 AFTER `track_rsvps`,
 ADD COLUMN `rsvp_yes` MEDIUMINT(8) UNSIGNED NOT NULL DEFAULT 0 AFTER `allow_guests`,
 ADD COLUMN `rsvp_no` MEDIUMINT(8) UNSIGNED NOT NULL DEFAULT 0 AFTER `rsvp_yes`,
 ADD COLUMN `rsvp_maybe` MEDIUMINT(8) UNSIGNED NOT NULL DEFAULT 0 AFTER `rsvp_no`,
 ADD COLUMN `recurr_id` MEDIUMINT(8) UNSIGNED NOT NULL DEFAULT 0 AFTER `rsvp_maybe`;
In phpmyadmin sql tab. That fixed it. I just copied and pasted it from the sql instructions in the mod install xml file.

Not only in the browser, did you purge the cache and so on on the ACP of your board too?

Hi wolfman .. ty for reply,
Not only in the browser, did you purge the cache and so on on the ACP of your board too?
yep, matter of fact, I "run now" everytime I ACP. Also have os deleted the cache, checked owner and perms many times as well.
Rebuilt my 3.0.6 test forum today and all I note is the mod is great but automod has issues with dropping files oddly. no icons yet, but the important ones are always there, Edit and Delete.

I do notice on Imageset export the imageset.cfg is truncated at;
img_button_topic_reply = button_topic_reply.gif*25*96

tho in /en/imageset.cfg it continues with.
img_button_calendar_new = prosilver_new_star_icon.gif*12*12
img_button_calendar_day = prosilver_day_icon.gif*12*12
img_button_calendar_week = prosilver_week_icon.gif*12*12
img_button_calendar_month = prosilver_month_icon.gif*12*12

which are the ones I am missing.

I think the "and so on" is the key question here. Did you actually go to the Styles tab in your acp and refreshed template, imageset and theme for each style separately?

Thank you for reply.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. How do you read the file on the server, you mean in your ACP? Please tell me you're using a decent ftp program to upload the changed files.

I have tried a test 3.0.6 complete install to the calendar with several methods..

ftp client - I use Filezilla on port 21
linux panel - I use Webmin
SSH - I interact with Linux on command line. reading files with VIM or native editors to Centos 5.
sql - I use phpMyAdmin-3.2.4

to explain this 'oddness' in export vs what is in /en/
1) I would expect the exported theme to be identical because that is it's purpose.
2) here are both files as a pastebin
the exported = http://pastebin.ca/1756633
on server(/styles/prosilver/imageset/en) = http://pastebin.ca/1756638

my question then is which imageset.cfg is getting refreshed? the export or in /en

I would like to enable/disable the listing of birthdays based on the "Display age:" setting in a user profile. Does anyone know what the variable is for that setting???

Any suggestions?

From what I can tell I would modify the functions_calendar.php

The following is listed twice in the functions_calendar.php file

Code: Select all

                if ( $user_can_view_events && $auth->acl_get('u_viewprofile') )
		{
			// find birthdays
			$calendar_days['BIRTHDAYS'] = generate_birthday_list( $true_j, $true_m, $true_y );
		}

line to update

Code: Select all

    if ( $user_can_view_events && $auth->acl_get('u_viewprofile') )
