So i downloaded your German language pack to see if this could give me a hand for a translation to Dutch.
But when I open the pack, I noticed only subdirectory's with "en" in it, and no "de" or something like that.
Could you explain to me (perhaps via pm) how one makes a language pack?
Much appreciated, Regards, Bert
I have repacked my German language files properly (to my best knowledge) into the provided language mod zip from the first post. I did not change the XML or whatever might be needed to make it working as I barely have knowledge how to do this.
including German casual honorifics language files and icons.
I'm so sorry, that's my silly mistake. When I have written the post I have accidently uploaded the unchanged ZIP, but this is now corrected. I have reupped the proper archive now and it should contain the German translations together with the original English ones!
How to make a translation?
Make a copy of the original "root/language/en"-folder from the calendar language zip and name it "dk" (I guess that's the proper name for the Dutch language). Now open every PHP file and translate every English string to Dutch. If my German translation is an additional aid for you, well, fine.
Make a copy of the original "root/styles/prosilver/imageset/en" folder from the calendar language zip and rename it to "dk". Some icons need translation, too. Use your favourite graphics application to change them. I'm not sure which font is used for the icons. There's maybe somewhere a documention on phpbb.com for this.
When you have done all this, copy the newly created Dutch language files (translations and icons) properly to your local and/or online test board and check your translation thoroughly. Make adjustments if necessary and when finished repack the ZIP properly and post a link so that others and alightner can access it. Double check to upload the proper zip...

Thank you for your quick response. I am rather new to phpBB, so please accept my apologize for my questions. I went to the Calendar Settings but could not find the proper setting for # days/weeks a recurring post should last. Could you please let me know where this option in acp can be found?
Kind regards, Bert
It is the second last setting "Auto Populate Limits" (English) in the ACP's Calendar Settings!
