Did you also do the style edits?
And if you did, did you refresh the style components?

Did you also follow the steps for installing the prosilver style? Without it your calendar won't have a user interface... it has the steps required to add the calendar link to your forum.

Did you make the changes in overall_header.html for the style you're using? And refresh that too?

The edits in calendar.php and calendarpost.php have nothing to do with getting the link for the calendar to show up... as I stated earlier those steps are in the prosilver install instructions... specifically the edits to styles/prosilver/template/overall_header.html
Find:

Code: Select all

<!-- IF not S_IS_BOT -->
Add After:

Code: Select all

<li class="icon-pages"><a href="{U_CALENDAR}">{L_CALENDAR}</a></li>

The variable U_CALENDAR should have been defined in: includes/constants.php as

Code: Select all

'U_CALENDAR'				=> append_sid("{$phpbb_root_path}calendar.$phpEx"),
The variable L_CALENDAR should have been defined in: language/en/common.php as

Code: Select all

'CALENDAR'				=> 'Calendar',

install.xml says you we have to change includes/functions.php and not includes/constants.php and yes i already have that code in includes/functions.php still no luck or im completely blind :(

That's what I get for not being more careful when I copy/paste - yes that change is from includes/functions.php, but if you've changed your overal_header.html file and have U_CALENDAR and L_CALENDAR defined, then there's no reason why you shouldn't see the link. Even if you didn't follow any other step in the install process, those three changes should create a link to the calendar (granted it would be a broken link if you didn't follow any of the other steps) but you'd see some clickable text all the same. Are you sure you don't have cache issues preventing you from testing your changes? Please post a link to your forum so others can test and help you debug.

The calendar works if you browse to http://f.paradoxfederation.com/calendar.php the button not appearing may be that its not working with your theme?? theme looks not to be styled on eve pro silver or sub silver??

If it were me i'd create an icon in line with the ? and the magnifine glass and place it next to those. (although they need title tag as no popup explanation for what they are.. i get it but others may not)

So is the link not coming up on the prosilver then?? and if you are changing, did you do the edits in the styles/prosilver or your existing style?

Im not using prosilver as my default style and that was the problem, you have to add the link on your default style to go to the calendar.
