please wait 24 hours before posting again.

also, the instructions for editing your colours.css file are for prosilver or subsilver whatever one it is, you need to customize them for your own custom styles.

I just wonder if it would be possible to have a view for the calender like this demo:

http://forum.openx.org/index.php?act=calendar this is a compact nice layout view with all settings on one page.

What you think?

ALightner and Rubenmeister - I'm sorry this isn't being talked about more in this thread. I love this calendar mod, and understand why Alightner hasn't changed it beyond her own needs. But my members would LOVE an event registration feature and I hope this can be integrated soon. Rubenmeister, another post you made showed some screen captures of the add-on you built. Have you shared it with Alightner yet?

Thank you!
Rubenmeister wrote:To make this mod perfect users should have the ability to:
1) Register for a certain event.
2) Cancel Registration.

That would be awsome, please tell me this is a planned feature?

Hmm... That's weird. Did you see the screen captures back in late December for it? I can't remember the exact date... Rubenmeister said he was going to contact you to see if you wanted to bundle it with the calendar.

Right now, I'm trying to creatively come up with a way to let event hosts create a usergroup, then have prospective attendees simply click a link inside the event to join the group. It's sort of a lame stop-gap measure, but it seems like it would give an organizer a way to keep attendees straight, send pm's to them, etc...

It's not weird... there was more than one person who said they wrote such a mod on top of this mod, but I still haven't seen the code from anyone. If someone packages it up and sends it to me, I'd take a look at it and consider merging it into this mod. Until then, this mod will not include event registration.

About my permissions problem:
I've reinstalled phpBB3 on my board and I am going to try installing this mod before any other. Hopefully that works.

I tried installing this mod. Ths is the error I get after editing all the files and copying all the new files.

I have msgl40, so I used the the readme file. Never done SQL before.

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Table 'db213141186.forumcalendar_config' doesn't exist [1146]

SQL

SELECT * FROM forumcalendar_config WHERE config_name ='index_display_week'

BACKTRACE

FILE: includes/db/mysql.php
LINE: 174
CALL: dbal_mysql->sql_error()

FILE: includes/functions_calendar.php
LINE: 1191
CALL: dbal_mysql->sql_query()

FILE: includes/functions_calendar.php
LINE: 829
CALL: get_calendar_config_value()

FILE: index.php
LINE: 106
CALL: calendar_display_calendar_on_index()

After restoring all the files I found the issue. My table name is not phpbb_ its forum. I need to re edit all the files and try again. I redid the SQL with the new msql40 and my forum is back online. Oh well, I will try again.

I did all the steps in the install. But dont understand this part.

"Jump over to the Permissions tab and
give yourself permission to administrate the calendar"

Can you elaborate on this part?

I dont see anything related to calender under permissions tab. I did add the new modules.

I purged all the caches. I think it may be related to MY SQL 4.0

Thanks,

When viewing a user's administrative permissions, if you click the link to view "advanced permissions" options, you should see tabs for: Permissions, Posting, Misc, Users & Groups, Settings, Calendar, and Forum. If you don't see the tab for "Calendar" permissions, then something in your installation wasn't done properly. Most likely the cause is anything relating to installing the calendar modules... check that you properly uploaded the files to define the new modules and properly installed the new module in your acp.
