The xsl file is used by the install xml file. You don't have to do anything with that file.

Any template edits should be in a separate xml file.

Did you check the permissions in the ACP permissions area for the tracker?

ACP > PERMISSIONS > GROUP PERMISSIONS > [select group here]

there are 2 permissions, the user and administrator permissions. for user, click TRACKER and set the appropriate permissions. for administrator, keep in mind that if you give a group the "can manage tracker" permission, you will grant them access to the ACP for that module.

heres how i have my tracker setup:
Administrator = user (all), admin (all)
Guests = user (all except can post and can edit), admin (none)
Global Moderators = user (all), admin (none)
Registered Users = user (all), admin (none)
Bots = user (none), admin (none)

Hi,

If you have manage tracker permissions then you should have another part under the ticket details that allows you to change the status, the prority, e.t.c

Bug submission issue

Post by Darth.Hunter »

Hello there!
It's nice to see another attempt at an integrated tracker, I find it highly useful - especially after the other tracker project has been discontinued.

I have installed the tracker, integrated it into the theme of the board and could assign permissions and create categories. So far, everything is working fine - until I try to submit a ticket. There, I am getting the following error:

Code: Select all

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Field 'last_visit_username' doesn't have a default value [1364]

SQL

INSERT INTO phpbb3_tracker_tickets (ticket_title, ticket_desc, ticket_php, ticket_dbms, component_id, version_id, ticket_time, ticket_user_id, ticket_desc_bitfield, ticket_desc_options, ticket_desc_uid, status_id, project_id, edit_reason) VALUES ('dfg', 'dfgdfg', 'dfg', 'dfg', 0, 1, 1227632236, '2', '', 7, '', 3, 1, '')

BACKTRACE

FILE: includes/db/mysql.php
LINE: 174
CALL: dbal->sql_error()

FILE: includes/tracker/tracker_class.php
LINE: 620
CALL: dbal_mysql->sql_query()

FILE: tracker.php
LINE: 936
CALL: tracker->add_ticket()
What's a bit strange about this is that the error message mentions mysql4, despite the fact that the server is running mysql5 :?

What this for a new install using phpbb 3.0.3? If so that is your issue. The installation script needs to be updated for then version.

You would need to uninstall the tracker and then open tracker_install/install.php and find the load_tables function around line 593.

Find this code:

Code: Select all

        // If mysql is chosen, we need to adjust the schema filename slightly to reflect the correct version. ;)
        if ($dbms == 'mysql')
        {
            if (version_compare($db->mysql_version, '4.1.3', '>='))
            {
                $available_dbms[$dbms]['SCHEMA'] .= '_41';
            }
            else
            {
                $available_dbms[$dbms]['SCHEMA'] .= '_40';
            }
        }
And replace with this code:

Code: Select all

        // If mysql is chosen, we need to adjust the schema filename slightly to reflect the correct version. ;)
        if ($dbms == 'mysql')
        {
            if (version_compare((isset($db->mysql_version)) ? $db->mysql_version : $db->sql_server_info(true), '4.1.3', '>='))
            {
                $available_dbms[$dbms]['SCHEMA'] .= '_41';
            }
            else
            {
                $available_dbms[$dbms]['SCHEMA'] .= '_40';
            }
        }

So it was working fine and now its not? If that is the case then you changed db versions after installation. There is a kb article about it on this site. They provide a script that could be modified to update the tables correctly.

Thanks for the hint, JRSweets!
I was a little confused about what to uninstall manually from the DB since the install script at first only given me the option to do a full install, which I already had. The result: Duplicate .mod panel.
On the second attempt however, it has provided me with the uninstall options.

With your above hints however, posting new tickets does now work properly. I'll dig a bit into the mod to see if I find any further glitches, but it's looking very good so far :)
