Re: [Beta] SilverBar MOD v0.5.0

Post by Desdenova »

Coming soon, Silverbar 0.6.0! This has been on my to-do list for a while, and now that some things have been sorted out, development is speeding along for this MOD at a hectic pace.

Hopefully I can get recent topics working within it. ;)

MOD Updated to version 0.6.0!

Changes:
 • Fixed install MODX file mistakes.
 • Made the MOD ZIP file compatible with Blinky.
 • Moved the web location that the MOD Version Check file will refer to.
 • Cleaned up the MODX install file for the UCP extension.
 • Removed the subsilver2 compatibility, too much work to keep up.
 • Using MODX 1.2.0 now.
 • Show/hide sidebar Javascript is now working like a charm.
 • Recent topics can be displayed in the sidebar with a slight alteration

NOTE: I will be unable to provide support for this and my other MODs for an extended duration of time.

When i add the following code, from the "Silverbar Mod UCP Upgrade"..

To overall header
<!-- INCLUDE sidebar_ucp_begin.html -->
and to overall footer
<!-- INCLUDE sidebar_ucp_end.html -->
...the sidebar fills the entire screen as per the attached picture..I am running latest version of phpbb 3.0.2

Does anyone know where I can snag version 0.5.0? I'm looking for it because it was the last version with subSilver2 support. Thanks.

Does anyone know how to adjust the refresh rate of the sidebar?

Issue i am having is that if i edit a long post, move the scroll bar to the end of the post to edit, it jumps back up to the top of the message box every few seconds....If i disable the sidebar, it does not happen, so, i can only put this down to the side bar refreshing on the currently viewed page....

Thanks in advance...

Hi, Im helping Desdenova while he is away.

Here is the bug that people are having problems with
If you sidebar is across the width of your board do this

Open: Styles > YOUR STYLE > template > side_bar.html

Find:

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_AUTOLOGIN_ENABLED --><br /><label for="autologin" style="width: 140px; margin: 0 auto;">{L_SIDEBAR_REM_ME}&nbsp;<input type="checkbox" name="autologin" id="autologin" /></label><!-- ENDIF -->
And Replace with:

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_AUTOLOGIN_ENABLED --><br /><label for="autologin" style="width: 50px; margin: 0 auto;">{L_SIDEBAR_REM_ME}&nbsp;<input type="checkbox" name="autologin" id="autologin" /></label><!-- ENDIF -->
Remember to purge your cache.

Updated Version here for people wanting to install this MOD. For version 0.6.0 issues of width read above, there wont be any need to install this and this updated version has the bug fix.
