According to the author, he is still working on the style though the progress is slow since he's finishing other styles for his freelance works at the same time. Just be patience, let him finish this style at this own pace, sometimes there are things worth the waiting

First, I apologize for the delay, I know that many people began to doubt the feasibility of this project.

You need to understand the issues that we are "new coding" and "not re-make" from Prosilver or Subsilver2, so there are many addition intend issues need to be resolved.
As well as the biggest problem is "a unofficial styles (based on Prosilver/Subsilver2) will not be supported from phpBB.com and MOD's author".
This style can be released slowly, even very slowly. But one thing it certainly will be release with high quality.
Some screenshot will be updated in a few hours, the core has basically completed. We were discussing the style of presentation because our do not want NS look like Vbulletin, Invision Power Board... our need differences stylish.
You can wait release date or ignore, sorry if I did take your time

What is the problem with that? Vbulletin and IPB styles are 20 times better than phpbb styles. Ipb implemented the 2.0 concepts in a excellent way. Meanwhile we still stucked in prosilver.
I vote for you continue doing in the same way, looks excellent, and is not a "copy" of ipb/vb, have some similarities yes, but is not a copy, so i don't see what the problem is.

I belive that nicesimple is the future for phpbb styles.

if u want to make it similary, don't know why is a problem. You can do it. You are not breaking any copyright.

I'm not worried about copyright issues, I want NiceSimple have "differences stylish".
If someone looking at a forum using NS, i want they said "phpBB beautiful" but not "phpBB like Vbulletin, IPB..etc..."

Do not worry about it, NiceSimple support child theme and you can create a variety of different styles, of course can be look like IPB or any skins you want.
If some one can not do that, I hope they'll hire me to get satisfaction, and I received funding to develop NiceSimple. That's "perfect world"
