I like the concept/look, three suggestions that I think would work quite well:

1) Tabs
2) Colour gradients: Block colours are a classic and do work well, but I am equally a fan of colour gradients on both the main header bar and the forum headers (sorry if the terminology is wrong here). Not sure how that would really work with the *switcher* though... :?
3) The fairly neutral coloured background again works quite well, but again maybe something a little bit more *exotic* would also work? For instance a very simple pattern with alternating light and dark grey.

BUT AGAIN: REALLY NICE WORK :) I do like the look and concept of it :)

Oh! Im very sorry :( If you want you can could open: styles/myinvision/template/overall_header.html
Find:

Code: Select all

<div id="above"></div>
And Delete it.

Open: styles/myinvision/theme/myinvision.css
Find:

Code: Select all

#wpuheader {
    background: linear-gradient(to bottom, rgb(0, 128, 218) 0px, rgb(0, 109, 185) 100%) repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent;
    height: 120px;
    width: 100%;
    border-bottom: 1px solid rgb(0, 81, 137);
    min-height: 64px;
    box-shadow: 0px -3px 3px -3px rgb(0, 128, 217) inset;
    padding-top: 12px;
}
Find Inline: height: 120px;
And remove it, then refresh your cache and theme for MyInvision,
Please note, it doesn't remove the blue header, it minimizes it making it look alot nicer, if you want to completely remove the header, let me know :)
