Nice design, gonna be alittle confusing though. Really like this one. Lots of great styles recently.

PS - how would one go about using just one images for overall_header?

I'm using this for our forum, but there are several annoying problems with it,

SOme users report that their use smiles permissions are always off while they always have it on in their prefferences, (and in the old theme, like subsilver2 this works correctly)

SOme people's signature images are more than 808 width and they make the post longer, destroying the preceeding "shadow" sideline.

Also, is it possible to have an option to show alternate bg colors in the posts ? now it's all kinda plain gray ish ... ?

For the rest it seems ideal enough for our forum.

My original version used 2 images, one left and one right which had the ability to be placed via percentages. The problem is that it would destroy the header if it had a fluid width. If you want to make it full size just remove the <div id="wrap"> from overall_header.html.

ok i guess i solved the permission problem, which was just a stupid mistake of mine, (setting permissions helped),

The problem with this, is that it seems that people could set smilies by default but the option was set to NO in the permissions. so this is more of phpbb issue than a theme issue right?

but there's still this problem with the theme making itself very ugly when someone is using long signature images...

I guess i can prohibit signature images from being so long ? or is there something that can be done to prevente these margine shadow lines from dislocating ?

(also i'd also like a tip on how to make alternating backgrounds in messages ..

thanks

There is really nothing that can be done about people posting overlarge images. I'm not sure about what you mean about backgrounds in messages. Please explain further.

Great style!

I am trying to make this style full width. I tried deleting the <div id="wrap"> from overall_header.html and then purged the cache. Nothing changed...??

Also, Could you post some kind of guide to changing the header image to one static image picked by the user. Thanks!

Go into the css, find the wrap ids and remove the width element from them.

To explain my problem further on bakground colors in posts.

You know in typical boards where you have a page of say 10 messages, and every message's bg color is in alternate colors, one light, the other dark, the other light again.. (like here.. actually)

Edit the following in stylesheet.css:

Code: Select all

.row1 {
	background-color: #EFEFEF;
	padding: 4px;
}

.row2 {
	background-color: #EFEFEF;
	padding: 4px;
