For KFreewalt, here's what I did to widen this style:

changed this:

body {
/* Text-Sizing with ems: http://www.clagnut.com/blog/348/ */
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 10px;
color: #333333;
background-color: #FFFFFF;
background-image: url('./images/bgforum.jpg');
background-position: center;
background-repeat:repeat-y;
width: 860px;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}

to this:

body {
/* Text-Sizing with ems: http://www.clagnut.com/blog/348/ */
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 10px;
color: #333333;
background-color: #FFFFFF;
width: 960px;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}

I changed the width and removed the background image.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the help, LOVE the style!
You change the administrator and moderator colors in the group management section of the admin panel.
Thanks, I'll go do that!

i have attempted to use the method you used to widen the forum and it hasn't changed the width with mine, only the banner seems to have changed. please explain?

I figured this one out.. goto \styles\NDesign\theme\stylesheet.css

Find

Code: Select all

body {
	/* Text-Sizing with ems: http://www.clagnut.com/blog/348/ */
	font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
	font-size: 10px;
	color: #333333;
	background-color: #FFFFFF;
	background-image: url('./images/bgforum.jpg');
	background-position: center;
	background-repeat:repeat-y;
	width: 960px;
	margin-left: auto;
	margin-right: auto;
}
Modify the width to whatever you want it at. Then find /styles/NDesign/theme/images/bgforum.jpg
and modify this image to the corresponding width. It stacks on top of itself to create the gray lines that run up and down the sides of the forum.

Hi,

first of all, great style! works like a charm and looks amazing :)

Now, the question :)
How would i go about to add a new button to the main menu? I'd like to add a "live chat" button directing to an already existing link "/phpbb3/chat/flashchat.php"

on my old phpbb2 avalanche theme i had this added to the overal_header.tpl:

Code: Select all

<td class="active_button"><a href="chat/flashchat.php" style="color: red;" class="tab">LiveChat</a></td>
But on this theme i'm guessing the code bit will be different, could anyone tell me which file to edit and the exact code i'd have to add?

Thanks

Im working on http://www.thebeerkeg.com and I am having trouble with something. Is there a way to change the color of the category title bars only (i.e. the champagne room bar)? This should be an easy one I think I am just having trouble finding the correct way to do this.

Look for the cat declaration in the css files.

Ok, still looking to resolve this :) I've been trying to mess with overall_header.html, and I think i should add my button somewhere in here:
<div id="menubar">
<table width="100%" cellspacing="0">
<tr>
<td class="genmed" align="center">
<a href="{U_INDEX}"> {L_INDEX}</a>
<!-- IF not S_USER_LOGGED_IN -->&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_LOGIN_LOGOUT}"> {L_LOGIN_LOGOUT}</a>&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_REGISTER}"> {L_REGISTER}</a><!-- ENDIF -->
&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_FAQ}"> {L_FAQ}</a>
<!-- IF S_DISPLAY_SEARCH -->&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_SEARCH}"> {L_SEARCH}</a><!-- ENDIF -->
<!-- IF not S_IS_BOT -->
<!-- IF S_DISPLAY_MEMBERLIST -->&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_MEMBERLIST}"> {L_MEMBERLIST}</a><!-- ENDIF -->
<!-- IF S_USER_LOGGED_IN -->&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_PROFILE}"> {L_PROFILE}</a><!-- ENDIF -->
<!-- ENDIF -->
But I can't figure what exactly to add????

anyone?

Incredible skin, really good work m8! I would like to change the bgcolor (to the left and right of the main table)to a litle more greyish, and ive managed to do this. The problem is that the shade still have like 20pxl of white area attatched to it. Is this made with a pic? If so, if you could say were this is then i can change it myself. If not, is there anyway i can fix this?

Also, when i change to N.design-style, the translation of profile in the menu doesnt work. I run a different laguagepack wich work with the original style. I wich file do i fix this? Ive checked the translation from the administrationpanel and there its correct.

When i change laguage the images gets all distorted:

Again, you will have to edit bgforum.jpg, as for the second thing. Open up imageset.cfg and change the sizes to the correct size and that will fix the problem.
