So into the css and change:

Code: Select all

#logodesc {
	height: 110px;
	width: 808px;
	background-image: url("./images/random/random.php");
	margin-left: auto;
	margin-right: auto;
}

This looks professional. I am looking for a phpBB3 style for my first forum (literature folks) and this looks very promising, as it has certain simplicity and class.

There seem to be rather a lot information in the screens which make it a little messy at places.

Another poster suggested alternating backgrounds for posts -- that is because phpBB by default has quite weak borders between posts. Demoforum here does not have multiple posts so I do not know how clear this is (hmm.. tribunekultur.com has very nice limiter rule between posts :-)

(Of course, if anybody has suggestions for similar simple, clean, classy and whitish themes, please add links here..)

Image What is the meaning of the black dot on the No new posts icon? Image I have some threads that have this icon but I don't understand what it means. Can anyone guess?

That means that you have posted in that thread. If you wish, you can disable that feature in your admin panel.

I think it's kind of nice, after knowing what it means.

Has anyone experienced any errors in using this style?

There is a minor problem with long threads

I haven’t received any error messages if that’s what you mean but I have noticed one minor glitch. On threads that consist of many pages, the page numbers to those multiple paged threads run beyond the boundary of the pages into the white space.

Small fix for code breaking out of the fixed width.

Open: theme/stylesheet.css
Find:

Code: Select all

.codecontent {
After Add:

Code: Select all

overflow: auto;

Yes.

I don't have time to try it now, but I suppose that will_hough's modification will fix the glitch:

Thank you.

Please let me know if it does. I found a few minor things myself which will have me probably releasing an update.

The modification doesn't work

Nocek,

Thanks for your commitment to maintain your beautiful style and to make adjustments to the code when necessary. I just now added

Code: Select all

overflow: auto;
to theme/stylesheet.css in the location suggested by will_hough and the modification didn't work. There was no change at all.

I'll try to solve this before my spring break ends.
