Mozilla Persona for Login

Post by ThomasOOO » Sun Jul 14, 2013 3:42 am add OpenID if you like too.

Persona allows you to sign in to sites using an email address you choose. So, instead of having to manage multiple usernames and passwords across your favorite sites and devices, you’ll have more time to do the important stuff.

Persona lets you get started with just your email address; you can add your profile data later, when and where you think it’s appropriate.

While I believe that this would indeed be very interesting to have included following the authentication refactoring, I believe that OpenID would be better to add first. Far more sites provide OpenID than those that support Mozilla Personas. So, it would be better to devote limited resources to OpenID before Mozilla Personas. But I see no reason why it couldn't be included after OpenID in core or provided by an extension once authentication refactoring is completed.

I don't like that it forces the use of js, yet... It is something useful and well done, though.

What about KeePass Password Safe?

Well I really don't like to use the same authentication data form more than one service because of security reasons.
