Well... Yes and No... The following is an extraordinary example of what I mean:
As you can see there are more demo examples that work a bit differently but final results are good except for the Basic Basic Plus
versions that I don't like at all. In fact I like the Basic Plus UI,
AngularJS and jQuery UI that I think has the best functionalities.
As you can see it is enough to select more files or images at once. For allowed images a thumbnail preview is showed in few instants after selection and before uploading.
To see how it works you don't need to upload anything but I tried it in a test web space of mine and it works great with a lots of images files: I tried it with about 50 image files not too big because the local process of previewing can slow down in my local pc that a bit old and slow. The preview of first files start immediately and took about 8-10 secs to complete. After the preview has showed it is possible to: start upload files just one by one or all at once or delete unwanted files and upload remaining. It is possible to stop upload also. Support drag and drop from the basic plus. I think it is an interesting piece of code.
Of course I don't know which features are already implemented in 3.1 phpbb core that seems to be pretty better than 3.0.11 I'm using. But I think it will be a real good news to see something like jqfu there.
