Allow users to lock their topic and allow posting

Post by Just Human » Sun Aug 18, 2019 12:04 pm

At present allow users to lock their own topic is available but once if they lock their own topic then they can't post in their topic
we need two lock systems one for users and another for moderators like superlock
it helps users to convert forums into channels like a telegram,
only forum creator can post stuff there others just follow them by subsribing to that topic.

There's already an extension to allow the OP to post in their own topic and no one else.

If the user has the permission to lock his own topic, can't he unlock his own topic?
This is a genuine question - I know of the existence of the extension but haven't looked at it yet and the discussion about it doesn't enlighten me.

The extension KevC was talking about is viewtopic.php?f=616&t=2482041(but I'm not familiar with it).

OK, the question was really whether they can unlock the topic they closed, or not.

ANS: They can't unlock their topic once they locked it.
also, they can't post in their locked topic. this is the problem I'm facing.

That extension means they don't have to lock the topic. They're the only ones who can post in it so locking it is moot.
