[Request] BBcode autofilled & Renaming

Post by Mr. Brooks »

1. I need a button that if a user click it will automatically type out:

Code: Select all

[random]999[/random]
Yes, the bbcode random AND the number 999 inside it. Automatically.

2. How do I rename a bbcode button? I'm pretty sure ages ago I found a file where I could edit them.

1. BBCodes are not parsed until the post is submitted or previewed. Therefore, only the BBCode tags will show until either of those events occur. That will also mean that the text entered by a BBCode cannot be used by another BBCode because they are all parsed at the same time. So, you would need something like a PHP function to achieve that.

2. Which one? Standard and custom BBCodes are handled differently.

Hey sorry for the late reply. I was able to solve this already.

1. I used javascript to write something on the textarea onclick.
2. I edited posting_buttons.html of my style template.
