please show us the exact bbcode you are trying to use. there should be no problem using whatever old bbcodes you had with phpbb newer versions.
also a link to your board so we can see what version you have etc.

Hi Guys,

Firstly, pleased to meet you all. I am NEW to this forum and totally new to phpbb.

Secondly, I do have a team of dev guys who put a forum together for me, but they left me in the dark and I am trying to figure a few things by playing around with the forum. Now this is my question:

I would like to add an image with a link into a thread, once the image is clicked it needs to open the new page in an iframe. Any idea on how I would go about doing this?

This is the link which I wish to open in an iframe:

http://poiuyt.flscntntdn.eu/swf/cadgran ... rsion=True

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Guys!

Regards
Jason

Any idea?

@The Machine: You should always start your own topics unless you are answering somebodies question.

probably not a very good idea, but here ya go.
I can't fully test this with a swf file because that is a flash file and I have flash removed from my computer as it has become a security problem. however, I did test it with a link to a normal webpage and it works just fine although you may want to edit the iframe attributes to make it whatever size you want it to be.

bbcode: ( name it whatever you want )

Code: Select all

[frame][/frame]
html replacement:

Code: Select all

<iframe src="http://poiuyt.flscntntdn.eu/swf/cadgranf/flash/mini_flash_client.swf?user=&sPassword&forReal=false&IP=190.4.88.43&portBase=1500&language=EN&casinoName=Raging%20Bull%20Casino&gameid=18&machid=122&handcount=0&denom=0&showVersion=True" name="iframe_a">
</iframe>

<a href="http://poiuyt.flscntntdn.eu/swf/cadgranf/flash/mini_flash_client.swf?user=&sPassword&forReal=false&IP=190.4.88.43&portBase=1500&language=EN&casinoName=Raging%20Bull%20Casino&gameid=18&machid=122&handcount=0&denom=0&showVersion=True" target="iframe_a"><img src="link to your image"></a>
useage: just click on the bbcode button

A little search would have found this which leads to this.

I just tested your code and it works perfectly.

please show us a link to your board where you are using this and post exactly what you are typing in for the bbcode etc.
