Empty line in [list]

Post by geohei » Wed Dec 20, 2017 10:07 am

Hi.

I'd like to add an empty line after each bullet entry.
How ist that possible?

Code: Select all

begin
[list=1]
[*]bullet 1

text 1.1
text 1.2

[*]bullet 2

text 2.1
text 2.2

[/list]
end
begin
  1. bullet 1

    text 1.1
    text 1.2
  2. bullet 2

    text 2.1
    text 2.2
end

The space at the bottom of bullet 1 is gone.

What has the begin and end got to do with this? Presumably this is the default list BBCode?

This:

Code: Select all

[list]
[*]bullet 1

text 1.1
text 1.2
[/list]
[list]
[*]bullet 2

text 2.1
text 2.2

[/list]
Generates:
  • bullet 1

    text 1.1
    text 1.2
  • bullet 2

    text 2.1
    text 2.2
Is that what you mean?

It was to show how the line before and after the list tag ist presented in terms of empty lines.
I.o.w. it was added to show that the list starts right after "begin", but an empty line is added after /list.

No, this just adds a new list. Hence the numbering is broken.

I would like to add an empty line at the end of the tag [*] block.

You never mentioned numbering, you said bullet 1 and bullet 2, bullets aren't numbers.

Right you are. Sorry!
I meant the [*] tag in general.

I'm not positive about what you are trying to do but I wrote a post on my phpBB site that might work for your bullets and/or lists.

I created the post before I found this one.

@steve1200

Right, that's what I'm looking for.
A simple blank line.
Nothing less, nothing more.

However neither of these tags works for me!

You would have to create them by making a Custom BBCode.

Is this possible via the ACP, or do I have to manually tweak the code?

Via the 'posting' tab in the ACP.

Did you figure out how to add the BBcode?

MIck is correct that you go to ACP and login. Select the Posting tab at the top of the page. At the bottom right of the BBcodes page select Add a new BBcode. Copy and paste the code lines from my website into the corresponding windows on your BBcode page. Check the Display on posting page box if you want the code to show up on your edit page and then select submit.

Sorry for late reply.

I tested it now.
Works like a charm.
Exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks a lot!
