I've got the youtube system to work, but it is obviously very touchy.

For the average user on my site it is way to complicated given that not all youtube vids will work with it, and they have to cut bits out of the url etc.

Hoping we see a fully functional mod soon.

And thanks to all the people on this site who are so helpful 8-)

Thank you ThunderCrew for your reply. That is a great suggestion. The problem is, I want the spoiler code too and apparently I can't have both. Thank you though!
I posted a qoute of someones code a page back that was great for me anyways but seems you wont dig back :roll: so here goes again
There's no need to be rude. I was polite in my response to you. I just didn't realize that I could change "spoiler" in the [] to say something else.

I've been expermenting to make a BBcode for Magic the gathering cards. The problem is that i'm getting stuck with the spaces when using the {SIMPLETEXT} variable. Spaces need to be converted by %20 i.e.
http://magiccards.info/autocard.php?car ... Yesterdays .

One of the solutions i thought of was using different bbcodes for the amount of words. I'll give a quick example:
Base URL

Code: Select all

http://magiccards.info/autocard.php?card={CARDNAME}
Tag

Code: Select all

[card]{SIMPLETEXT}[/card]
[cardwithtwowords]{SIMPLETEXT1} {SIMPLETEXT2}[/cardwithtwowords]
and so on for cards with three words.

HTML Replacement

Code: Select all

<a href=http://www.magiccards.info/autocard.php?card={SIMPLETEXT}>{SIMPLETEXT}</a>
#or
<a href=http://www.magiccards.info/autocard.php?card={SIMPLETEXT1}%20{SIMPLETEXT2}>{SIMPLETEXT1} {SIMPLETEXT2}</a>
Does any one of you have an idea how to get all this in one BBcode?

Sure no problem :)

In BBcode usage add:

Code: Select all

[help-attach]{TEXT}[/help-attach]
In HTML replacement add:

Code: Select all

<a href="http://yourboard.com/root/faq.php#f90" target="_blank">{TEXT}</a>
In Helpline add:

Code: Select all

[help-attach]Attachment Help[/help-attach]
The code is tested and it works. Please be sure to add your own URL to your board before you set up the code.

I made this BB code by request from a user at http://www.phpbb2.dk

The code is used to show videos from http://www.rude.com in posts.

In BBcode usage add:

Code: Select all

[rude_video]{TEXT}[/rude_video]
In HTML replacement add:

Code: Select all

<div id="rudecontentvideo_vm_{TEXT}"></div> <script src="http://embed.rude.com/embed/vm/default/id/{TEXT}/"></script>
In Helpline add:

Code: Select all

[rude_video]RUDE VIDEO ID[/rude_video]

Is it possible to unify two diferent video BBCode - yahoo and google - by javascript in only one?

For me the best of google BBCode is this: (it's work properly with any kind of google URL - INTERNATIONALIZED -, the others not)
http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 0#p3234886

Code: Select all

[googlevid]http://video.google.{IDENTIFIER}/videoplay?docid={SIMPLETEXT}[/googlevid]

Code: Select all

<embed style="width:400px; height:326px;" id="VideoPlayback" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId={SIMPLETEXT}" flashvars=""> </embed>

and the best youtube BBCode is this ( it's work properly with any kind of youtube URL - INTERNATIONALIZED):
http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 0#p3767045

Code: Select all

[youtube]{URL}[/youtube]

Code: Select all

<script language="Javascript">
var a = '{URL}';
var temp = new Array();
temp = a.split('?v=');
document.write('<object width="425" height="373"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/' + temp[1] + '&rel=0&color1=0xd6d6d6&color2=0xf0f0f0&border=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/' + temp[1] + '&rel=0&color1=0xd6d6d6&color2=0xf0f0f0&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="373"></embed></object>');
</script>

I tried to do it in javascript, but I haven't got any idea about javascript, it didn't get to work properly :(

¿Someone knows?

Thanks very much in advanced

HI folks.

I've noticed that <HR> and its BBCode showed here, doesn't work in firefox:( It works in IE (i've checked).
I've also checked if <HR> works on other sites and it is displayed properly so, something must be "wrong" with the BBCode.

Any idea how to fix this? :|
