MGadAllah

re the 'goto' / 'anchor' Custom BB codes.

Take a look at my forum (link in signature) it has a copy of those installed - and has a testing room for you to use.

If you have those exact commands installed it should work on your forum.

Note - if the page being displayed is very short the jump (up/down) may well not look like it has happened. You might need to make a larger posts/page to show/see it works correctly.

BBCodes are tags in your text which you can use to define the layout of your text. For example, when you use the following code in your message.

Code: Select all

[b]Example[/b]
It will make the text: Example.

In the ACP is it possible to create your own BBCode, that's where this topic is about. :)

<-- So you're saying its just like Bolding your letters, you know the.. "" thing, but you're making your own, so that when you highlight something and apply the BBCode you made, it will show the Text format or whatever in the post?

Look, when you create a new BBCode in the ACP, you'll need some knowledge about HTML. Because you're giving a HTML replacement of what the BBCode is going to do. When you created the BBCode in your ACP it does exactly what it should do when it was HTML. :)

Is there any way to get custom bbcodes to have security permissions like the flash bbcode does? I wouldnt even care if it actually checked the permissions of the flash bbcode either. I just have specific bbcodes that i do not want all users to be able to use.

I don't think it is as straight forwards as that. Check the bbcode.php in the includes folder.

Is there a mode to make a "one entry per line" bbcode?

Something like:

[ container]
item1
item2
item3
[ /container]
