Maybe I'm not typing the correct name for the BBCode. Can anyone help please?
On my own forums it seems to just appear like a quote and has no option to select all text within the section
This topic is for custom BBcodes.
I can't understand why you need to create a code to do the same thing as the built in code.

Are you saying

Code: Select all

[code]...
[/code] doesn't work on your forum ?

If the built in one isn't working, post a New Topic in the Support Forum, not in this topic, and provide us with the information necessary to assist you by filling out the Support Request Template.

Especially tell us what MODS and Custom Styles you have installed, and give a link to your forum.

thanks ;)
Sorry my bad. I been away for a couple of days and just got back. The does work... kinda looks more like just a quote and fills the whole page. Ok, I may need to learn exactly how the BBCodes work... I just come back from the stone ages.

My Forum here...

As regards to MODs I've only just installed it and using no mods as such yet and the styles available are a playstation themed one or the original one. Thanks for the help and reply... I will learn from my mistakes lol... Thanks again

EDIT: I just changed to the original theme... and the [ code][/ code] works fine.

I'm in need of a little help. Another admin added in a dice function, and I'm trying to create a button for it, but I'm not quite sure how.

http://www.creationmatrix.com is the site.

The coder added a dice function, but I want to create an input similar to a quick reply which fills in how many d6 to roll (1, 2 or 3) and automatically posts it. Would this be more of a MOD, or can I create a simple button for this and if so, where do I do that? Thanks in advance.

If needed, the necessary code would be {dice}2d6{/dice} replacing the { with [ to roll 2 dice.

Navigate to the Posting > BBCodes section of the phpBB3 administration panel and click the "Add a new BBCode" button. Enter the respective code from below into the "BBCode usage" and "HTML replacement" boxes.

Hope that helps you.

What about the

Code: Select all

Fixed-pitch font with preserved spaces and
line breaks
code? That would be pretty useful for me.
As well as the Forced line break. Oh, and the glowing text. *grin*

There should be no need for a BR one. Carriage-returns are replaced by <br />

That is true in most cases but not when it's the first line of a post.
A forced line break is required in that instance.

Granted it's not a requirement for most people but I have used it myself.

Good morning.

I wonder if anyone can help with a custom BB code for a marquee banner. I have seen one earlier in this thread but what I'd really like is the ability to have certain words or phrases highlighted in rainbow colours. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Many thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hello. I really don't have the time to read through all of these posts, but i was wondering how to add an Imeem Music widget and this http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/imvite- ... ve-tvradio widget to my phpBB 3 forum.

Thanks,

Ian
