The replacement is wrong, it's missing the first anchor close tag :

Code: Select all

<a href="{URL}" target="_blank"><img src="{URL}" height="250" width="300" /></a>

Probably you don't know, but target="_blank" is not XHTML valid.

Also did you think what happens if the image is lower than height 250 and/or width 300 ?

That's not quite true. It's not XHTML Strict compliant, but it is XHTML Transitional compliant (I know, because I've validated my site against the W3C validator).

How can I have text in the middle and images to the left and the right of it at the same height? I tried this and that, but the picture on the right side is always lower than that on the left side.

The key here is to use the correct image insertion code. The one I found to work best is:

Code: Select all

<img src="http://steve.svpocketpc.com/GoofyPigAvatar.gif" vspace=10 border=0 hspace=10 align=left alt="Image on the Left">
Personally, I have made one for LEFT and one for RIGHT.

<A href="#started" target="_self" rel="nofollow">Getting Started</A>
It should go to this code

Code: Select all

<A name="started" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"></A>Getting Started

Look for a [anchor] and [goto] BBCode in this topic.

FWIW (I'm not sure if the anchor BBCode has been updated in this topic but this is the 'safe' method)

Anchor bbcode:

BBCode:

Code: Select all

[anchor]{SIMPLETEXT}[/anchor]
HTML replacement:

Code: Select all

<a name="{SIMPLETEXT}"></a>
Helpline:

Code: Select all

Anchor: [anchor]Name of the anchor[/anchor]
Goto bbcode:

BBCode:

Code: Select all

[goto={SIMPLETEXT}]{TEXT}[/goto]
HTML replacement:

Code: Select all

<a href="#{SIMPLETEXT}">{TEXT}</a>
Helpline:

Code: Select all

Goto: [goto=Anchor Name]Link text[/goto]
Then use like this:

Code: Select all

    [anchor]Start[/anchor]
    Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy
    text of the printing and typesetting industry.
    Lorem Ipsum has been the industrys standard
    dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown
    printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to
    make a type specimen book. It has survived not only
    five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting,
    remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the
    1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lore
    Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing
    software like Aldus PageMaker including
    versions of Lorem Ipsum.
    [goto=Start]Start[/goto]

I'm looking for a BB-code that does the following:

I create a list of questions. If you click on a question, the answer appears below the question and all the next questions are moved downwards to make room for it. Click on the question again, and the answer disappears again.

An example can be found here (It's Dutch, but I'm sure you'll get the idea): http://www.ing.nl/particulier/klantense ... index.aspx

I have the following code currently installed, which comes close but is not yet perfect:

Code: Select all

[Collapse]{TEXT}[/Collapse]

Code: Select all

<dl class="codebox"><dt> Answer: <a href="javascript: void(0);" onClick="var spoiler = this.parentNode.parentNode.getElementsByTagName('dd')[0]; if ( spoiler.style.display == 'none' ) { spoiler.style.display = 'block'; this.innerHTML = 'hide'; } else { spoiler.style.display = 'none'; this.innerHTML = 'show'; };">show</a></dt><dd style="display: none;">{TEXT}</dd></dl>
Any ideas? I know very little of these things.
