Version one - fixed size

BBCode usage

Code: Select all

[videoweed]{IDENTIFIER}[/videoweed]
HTML replacement

Code: Select all

<iframe width='600' height='480' frameborder='0' src='http://embed.videoweed.com/embed.php?v={IDENTIFIER}&width=600&height=480' scrolling='no'></iframe>
Test post

Code: Select all

[videoweed]n82cy3l8rxrau[/videoweed]
Version two - variable size

BBCode usage

Code: Select all

[videoweed={NUMBER1},{NUMBER2}]{IDENTIFIER}[/videoweed]
HTML replacement

Code: Select all

<iframe width='{NUMBER1}' height='{NUMBER2}' frameborder='0' src='http://embed.videoweed.com/embed.php?v={IDENTIFIER}&width={NUMBER1}&height={NUMBER2}' scrolling='no'></iframe>
Test post

Code: Select all

[videoweed=640,480]n82cy3l8rxrau[/videoweed]
You can install both versions of the bbcode on your board.
It's a bit annoying that they force two popup ads every time you call up the video.

I'm working on a BBCode which makes a textbox that has a green background, for explanation purposes. I have two questions: first of all, if I try to put a border around it, it doesn't go around the top, so is there any way to remedy this? And secondly, is there any way of giving it curved corners using CSS?

This is it so far:

Code: Select all

<span style="background-color: #cfddd6; width: 100%; padding: 4px; height: 100%; border: 2px solid #006633;">{TEXT}</span>

I can't answer the first question, although I'd be suspicious of that height: 100% (why do you need it?).

The second is a definite NO with simple CSS. I read that rounded corners are coming in CSS 3, though.

If you want rounded corners now, you'll have to resort to the same trick that ProSilver uses or you can try something like Nifty Corners.

Ah, it's because I thought that the lack of a height setting was the problem with lack of borders. Thanks for your answer anyway!

anyone think they are able to help me embed sopcast yet? I found a site that gives the embed code

<object id="SopPlayer" classid="clsid:8FEFF364-6A5F-4966-A917-A3AC28411659" width="300" codebase="http://download.sopcast.com/download/SO ... on=1,1,1,0"
name="SopPlayer" height="300">
<param value="1" name="AutoStart"/>
<param value="sopcast_channel" name="SopAddress"/>
<param value="ChannelName" name="CCTV5"/>
</object>

i need to make that into a bbcode, i assume the part i change is "sopcast_channel

Do you have another code for a different video?
I would assume the part specifying which video to play is the "CCTV5" in the above code.

If you go to that page, and click on the main video, it displays this as the embed code below the video:
<object id='playerFlash' classid='clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000' width='500' height='375'><param name='movie' value='http://www.videolog.tv/ajax/codigoPlayer.php?id_video=562855&relacionados=S&default=S&lang=PT_BR&cor_fundo=FFFFFF&cor_titulo=777777&hd=S&swf=1&width=500&height=375' /><param name='flashvars' value='id_video=562855' /><param name='allowScriptAccess' value='always' /><param name='allowFullScreen' value='true' /><param name='wmode' value='opaque' /><embed src="http://www.videolog.tv/ajax/codigoPlayer.php?id_video=562855&relacionados=S&default=S&lang=PT_BR&cor_fundo=FFFFFF&cor_titulo=777777&hd=S&swf=1&width=500&height=375" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="500" height="375"></embed></object>
Note, I have highlighted what appears to be the "video ID" in red.
You could just make a bbcode using the above as the "HTML replacement, and replacing the red sections with an {IDENTIFIER} tag. Use the Youtube bbcode as a template for how to do this.

No, there have been all sorts of obscure codes asked for. You are better off using the search command to find them.

Hi Guys

We just migrated to phpBB3. For our movie board we need spoiler tags. I've added them as new bbcodes, and it seems to work, but only on new postings. Old postings don't seem the format. Any suggestions?

example new spoiler tag: http://www.filmtotaal.nl/forum/viewtopi ... 30#p555361

[spoiler]text[/spoiler]

but it doesn't work on old postings: http://www.filmtotaal.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?p=479783

You can use the "Reparse bbcodes" command in the Support Toolkit to fix that.
Make sure you backup your database first, just in case something goes wrong.

Another option is create bbcodes before made the migration ;)

I added [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v={SIMPLETEXT}[/youtube] in the first box and this:

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/{SIMPLETEXT}"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/{SIMPLETEXT}" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

in the second but it won't show up. do you know why?
