So would it be this?

I added it and when i go to the post and its like this

Code: Select all

[mp3]http://www.dj-ultra.co.uk/doc/-!Dj-ultra-{-blue-anthem-}-Dj-yates-!--.mp3[/mp3]
when i preview its the same.

So where have i gone wrong.

Go back and look in the HTML replacement code on the top. I had the same problem and then realize that

Code: Select all

[mp3]{URL}[/mp3]
was at the top. Once I removed it everything was fine.

Is is possible to add alt and title descriptions to Img BBcode tag. Because otherwise any pictures we post on the forums just won't be picked up by search engines. Huge drawback.

It should be possible, I guess you mean this:

Code: Select all

[img="dolphin"]www.imagesite.com/images/dolphin.jpg[/img]
?

Well, I mean, <img src="http:..." alt="text" title="text" border="0" />, something like this. Meaning a substitute in BBcode for this.

If someone is posting images and trying to align them using the current methods shown in this thread. They might have noticed that the text with which it was aligned appears below the image. Not with the image.

A better way is to use floats instead of align.

For example, for left use BBcode

[left]{text}[/left]

and html can be

<div style="float: left;"> text </div>

Same ways for right..

[right]{text}[/right]

<div style="float: right;"> text </div>

Is that a question, or are you stating that's what happens? If properly done, that shouldn't happen.

Windows Media player embeded

BBcode:

Code: Select all

[Embed]{TEXT}[/Embed]
HTML replacement:

Code: Select all

<div align="center"><embed src="{TEXT}" width="320" height="240" autostart="0" showcontrols="1" type="application/x-mplayer2" pluginspage="http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/"> </embed></div>
You can change some setting as you wish aotostart, showcontrols size etc etc

Adding title and alt text to Images.

Post by jaunty_mellifluous » Fri Sep 21, 2007 11:28 am

BBcode,

Code: Select all

[image{text2}]{text1}[/image]
HTML,

Code: Select all

<img src="{text1}" alt="{text2}" title="{text2}" border="0" />
It's important that you're adding title and alt text to your images because search engines only list your images depending on those values.
