I see others adding questions about BBCodes so here's mine:

With 2.0.22 I was able to insert <br> for a carriage return sending the remainder of the sentence to the next line.

For example: My /index.php header used to read:
Dear Gabby
A Communication Skills Coach pens alternative replies
to advice columnist's letters.
Presently it reads: http://www.comcom121.org/phpBB/index.php
Dear Gabby
A Communication Skills Coach pens alternative replies to advice columnist's letters.
Is there a way to do what I want?

Thanks,

Kerry

BBCode:

Code: Select all

[align={IDENTIFIER}]{TEXT}[/align]
HTML Replacement:

Code: Select all

<div style="text-align: {IDENTIFIER}">{TEXT}</div>
---------

For the colored horizontal bar..

BBCode:

Code: Select all

[hr]{COLOR}[/hr]
HTML Replacement:

Code: Select all

<hr style="color: {COLOR}; background-color: {COLOR}; border: 1px solid {COLOR}" />

I never received a response to a previous request and have tried unsuccessfully myself .. any suggestions as to how to disable the default codes .. as way of example I wish to disable the [img] tag permanently to encourage others to upload images rather than link to them.

I'm having an issue where some Youtube videos will work and some won't. An example can be found here.

http://forums.villageofkonoha.com/viewt ... ?f=2&t=231

I am using the BBCODES posted in the first post of this thread and can't figure out why posting videos will work some videos and not with others.

I am having difficulty understanding how to create BBCode. Earlier someone asked about BBcode to wrap text around images. Looking at oso96_2000's response above, would this "HTML Replacement" cause an image to float right and then existing text to wrap around it?

Code: Select all

<span style="float:right"><img src="{url}"></span>
. And what would the BBCade be?

I think that has to be modifing the code inside some php files, maybe includes/bbcode.php to no parse the [img] tag

Read the whole topic, i don't know what page, but your problem is the subdomain (using or no using the www prefix), i think a youtube bbcode that works fine is in another page, or use the search function

I test this, but don't know if it's what you're looking:

BBCode:

Code: Select all

[float]{URL}[/float]
HTML Replacement:

Code: Select all

<span style="float: right"><img src="{URL}" alt="{URL}" /></span>
Usage:
[float]http://urltoanimage.png[/float]

Thank you, oso96_2000. That is code I was trying to write. Using yours, I made two BBCode called "floatRight" and "floatLeft" like this.

BBCode

Code: Select all

[floatLeft]{URL}[/floatLeft]
HTML Replacement

Code: Select all

<span style="float: left"><img src="{URL}" alt="{URL}" /></span>

Right float BBCode is the same except, I changed left to right in BBCode and HTML Replacement. It works perfect.
