Just found a little issue with the "Spoiler" BBCode defeating the Word Censor.
I had posted the issue here
My board is an update from v2.0.22 to v3.0.0
I see posts on here about how people cannot get the 'Word Censor' to be disabled.

My issue is that 'Word Censoring' is not working even though it is 'Enabled'.

Allow disabling of word censoring: is set to 'No' in ACP> General> Board Configuration> Post Settings

The words I am testing from the old board are in ACP> Posting> Word Censoring.

When I, or another person, posts one of the censored words it still displays.
Just found the issue. It is with the "Spoiler" BBcode.

If you "spoil" the entire word then the word censor works as it is suppose to.
If you "spoil" only part of the word, i.e. the last two letters... it defeats the word censor.
Keep it fun.

I am using this function but I got a problem that maybe anyone know about?

I can put up some youtubes movies without any problem. For example I have put up 8 youtube movies. The thing is that it's not a problem to put up the movies I already got in a new post, but when I put up a new movies I never used before it just shows me the codes I use the code: [youtube]"URL"[/youtube]. Can it be a automaticall limit?

Anyone know what the problem could be? The strange is some movies shown.

Ghabbar wrote:Hi,
There seems to be a problem with the bbcode for Googlevideo using full URL. Has anyone else noticed this?
I cappied and pasted the BBcode and html replacements in the relevant sections but nothing happens when i insert a video using the bbcode.

Can someone please help be to get this working? Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks
I'm having the Google video problem as well. (I first added the YouTube code, using ID only, and that seems to work fine.)

I've tried both the full URL and video ID only version for the Google code, but neither of them worked. I did actually get the Google video thing to show up on the message, but there was no video - the video screen part was just black.

Any suggestions?

That sounds fantastic :)

I'm just wondering - Do you know if that would work on a forum where the admin has restricted the image sizes? I mean: I've set the maximum width / height for any posted image to be 640 pixels. So, if I keep that restriction, but install that new BBcode, would it be possible to post larger than 640 images, by using this BBcode to make them appear smaller? Or would they still be recognised as too large for the forum?

(Of course, I can always test it myself, I'm just wondering if you happen to have tried that already..)

You are missing the ending </a> in the HTML replacement, otherwise everything beyond the thumbnail will also be clickable. I've added it into the above quote

Check your custom BBcode - you probably have the BBcode info pasted into the HTML box a second time, so just delete that...

This happens to me too - it's to do with the SELECT ALL feature of CODE boxes. If I selected all code from box 1 and pasted it, then selected all code from box 2 and pasted it, it would include box 1 content in the second paste... (WinXP/Firefox/Noscript) It's easier just to triple click sometimes, you also don't get the leading blank line and spaces.

Thanks to all the contributors here - I scavenged through all 39 pages to find the gems which will help my site out! Much appreciated!

Sadly this is all that it contains:

Code: Select all

[youtube]http://{TEXT}youtube.com/watch?v={IDENTIFIER}[/youtube]
    <object width="425" height="350">
       <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/{IDENTIFIER}"></param>
       <param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param>
       <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/{IDENTIFIER}" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed>
    </object>
I got all exited for a moment... :lol:
