jackennils wrote: Sun Apr 23, 2017 1:24 am Is this still in the making? Time zone issue fixed? :?:
Nope, replacing this:

Code: Select all

			$dst = date('I', $time);
			$this->backup_date = mktime($hour + $dst, $minute, 0, $month, $day, $year);
With:

Code: Select all

$this->backup_date = mktime($hour, $minute, 0, $month, $day, $year);
Fixes the issue for me.
Worked for me. Thank you.

Just for the records: I'm in CEST time zone (UTC+2).

On fresh install of phpBB 3.2.0 with this extension activated, i have this notice from debug mode on top of window:
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file [ROOT]/ext/david63/autodbbackup/cron/task/core/auto_db_backup.php on line 77: date_default_timezone_set(): Timezone ID '' is invalid
After setting options from auto db backup the notice message disappears.

But, if i set 12h for the next auto db backup in parameters, i save the page, and the hour new is setted on 13h, why ?

It is a known problem that I need to fix.

Hi, I'm having a problem while setting this ext..

I set all variables and when I choose date, it shows me a message saying year value must be less or equal to 1971!!

I choose 2017-10-14 at 23:00, in next future... but I always have that message...

I have 2.1.0 rc2 version of the ext, running in phpbb 3.2.1 and php is 5.6...

See this pic with message in spanish

I have never seen or heard of that happening before. It would suggest that there is a problem with the time, possibly on your PC

That error message is not coming from the extension so I would be inclined to start thing that it is something to do with the browser or a browser add on. Which browser are you using?

What is making me suspicious about this is saying 1971 which, as we all know, is one year greater than the default year that most computers use.

If you switch to using English language what happens?

Finally, I disconnected the ext, erased all data and uninstalled it.

I did a new installation and now everything is correct.

Thanks for the help and support!

Hello,

I'm having some issues with this extension. In short it's not working automatically. I have the cron status extension installed so I can see when my cron jobs are slated to run, and when they run. I can also manually run the cron job.

Manually running the cron job through the cron status extension works, however when the cron job runs automatically on schedule no backup file is created in /store.

I've attempted to disable/delete files and enabling the extension again. I've also tried .gzip and text backups. Neither work. (gzip compression works from manual backups)

/store is chmod to 777

Is there a log file that I can check to further troubleshoot this issue? I'm running phpBB 3.2.1, and auto backup 2.1.0rc2.

Thank you in advance!

Hello,

Thanks for the quick reply. Is there anything in particular that I should be looking for? I don't see any errors, or anything that really sticks out.

Why would the 'Run' link work on my Cron Status addon, but not the actual cron job starting on its own?

This is a GoDaddy host if it helps. Again, thank you for your time!

That in itself should not be a problem - but who knows with Godaddy?

Perhaps you are not aware of how phpBB cron works - it is only triggered when somebody visits your board so if you have a backup time set at, say, 11:00 the job will only run when the board is visited after that time, and only then if there are no other cron jobs waiting before it in the queue.

When this extension runs there will be an entry in the board's Admin log.
