What links? Better where? Better how?

Screenshot is not in English so I have no idea what you are referring to.

Please explain what it is that you are trying to do

David, should your extension block cookies until the user accepts them?

No - as far as I am aware there is no way that you can block cookies from the server and in any case a vanilla install of phpBB does not have any cookies that need to be blocked.

Great addon, thanks for your work!

Do you plan to add feature allowing users to delete their accounts from UCP (GDPR requires us to allow users to remove all user data on request)?
Posts of delete users could persist but would have to change authors name to Anonymous or "User deleted"

No. As you say the GDPR requires users to remove all data on request - that facility already exists and I am not spending my time adding something that already exists and will hardly ever be used.

Birthday error fix.
edit file core/privacypolicy.php

go to public function get_birthday($birthday) on line 319
after

Code: Select all

$birthdate	= '';
add

Code: Select all

$month=intval($birthday[1]);
replace:

Code: Select all

$birthdate = $birthday[0] . ' ' . $this->language->lang_raw('priv_months')[$birthday[1]];
with:

Code: Select all

$birthdate = $birthday[0] . ' ' . $this->language->lang_raw('priv_months')[$month];
edit file:
language/en/ucp_privacypolicy.php

after:

Code: Select all

$lang = array_merge($lang, array(
add:

Code: Select all

'priv_months'	=> array(
		1	=> 'January',
		2	=> 'February',
		3	=> 'March',
		4	=> 'April',
		5	=> 'May',
		6	=> 'June',
		7	=> 'July',
		8	=> 'August',
		9	=> 'September',
		10	=> 'October',
		11	=> 'November',
		12	=> 'December',
	),

@david63
what would you say for for adding link like "Request account removal" at the bottom of current personal data listing in UCP, which would just open pre-formated private message to forum admin? any automation would be better than none :P

thanks again for your awesome work.

Finally I succeeded to install this extension with v2.1.0-rc4..

My board is deliberately in english language but it gets traffic also from Italy where my forum site https://allabouthd500x.altervista.org is hosted, so I being Italian I made and added also the en-to-it translations in case italian users wanted to read and approve the privacy policy (GDPR) in native language..

Thanks a million David for the hard work!

David
Thank you so much for spending your time on this extension - I'm sure we all VERY much appreciate it.

I installed it today. All went well, except when a member tried to create a new post and was met with:

Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Twig_Error_Loader' with message 'Unable to find template "@david63_privacypolicy/event/vse_abbc3_posting_editor_buttons_custom_tags_append.html" (looked into: /home/*****/public_html/phpbb/ext/david63/privacypolicy/styles/all/template, /home/*****/public_html/phpbb/ext/david63/privacypolicy/styles/all/theme, /home/*****/public_html/phpbb/ext/david63/privacypolicy/styles/all/template, /home/*****/public_html/phpbb/ext/david63/privacypolicy/styles/all/theme) in "@vse_abbc3/abbc3_posting_buttons.html" at line 272.' in /home/*****/public_html/phpbb/vendor/twig/twig/lib/Twig/Loader/Filesystem.php:232 Stack trace: #0 /home/*****/public_html/phpbb/phpbb/template/twig/loader.php(135): Twig_Loader_Filesystem->findTemplate('@david63_privac...') #1 /home/*****/public_html/phpbb/vendor/twig/twig/lib/Twig/Loader/Filesystem.php(150): phpbb\template\twig\loader->findTemplate('@david63_privac...') #2 /home/*****/public_html/phpbb/vendor/twig/twig/lib/Twig/Environment.php(329): Twig_Loader_ in /home/*****/public_html/phpbb/vendor/twig/twig/lib/Twig/Loader/Filesystem.php on line 232

(I've sanitised the forum name with asterisks).

I'm not too technical with phpbb but I try hard and am learning fast. Any suggestions as to where I'm going wrong please?
Running 3.2.1 at present.

NL translation updated
https://github.com/Solidjeuh/Privacy-policy
I just checked, but the actual policy page text is not in NL yet.
Will this be translated also?
