If you enable the "display forum in legend" option for each forum, you should already have those forums listed (and since you are using PBTech, it will already be in a dropdown menu).

Great Ext, but using it I am seeing forums that can not be seen, vis:-

The first forum in the breadcrumb menu is (as its name suggests) shown to new members only. The second was a Christmas message that is ow no longer shown.

Obviously they are not listed on the forum index, and can not be accessed from the Breadcrumb menu.

I presume its a permissions issue, but they are correct AFAIK as can be seen on the index.

Any ideas?

The forums that are listed in the menu are the forums that a user has access to. If a user has permissions to view/access a forum, it will be shown to them. Whether the specific forum is displayed on the index or not.

... but if I follow one of those links in the breadcrumb menu I get:-

EDIT:- I have been through al the permissions, and every group of which I am a member is set to 'never' for the first 2 forums on the breadcrumbs menu. Even so I can still see them in the breadcrumbs forum, but not on the index page, and I can not access them.

It seems that as Admin, and with full admin permissions, I can 'see' these even though I can not access them.

If you click on a link to a forum that you do not have access to ,you should not get that error , you should get permissions message.

why would you want to have any forums that you as admin, do not have access to?

... because the first is a forum that is read only for newly registered members only (and therefore does not need admin access) and the second (as I stated previously) was a Christmas only forum, and as it is no longer Christmas is not available to anyone until next year.

Basically, the menu uses the same data as the "Jump to" forum menu (which is included by default in phpBB).

If it shows in the "jump to" menu, it will show in the breadcrumbs menu. It's up to you to set your permissions in such a way that it works for you.

If you are having permission issues with this, then I'd suggest creating a support topic. If however you see that the breadcrumb menus are actually different from the "jump to" menu, then it might be a problem with the extension.

The 'Jump to' menu is showing correctly for me signed in on the same account. (ie, it is not showing the first 2 items on the Breadcrumbs menu)

... but is this extension is pulling the data from 'jump to' it should be showing the same, shouldn't it?

I noticed this earlier in the topic here but it was said to be a discrepancy in the permissions?

Thanks. I hadn't read back that far. I've double checked the permissions, and they are all correct, though the breadcrumbs menu is still showing incorrectly.

Then I guess it's a problem with the extension after all ;). I'll investigate.
