How does this affect the database size, for instance? How is it different from simply creating a section called "Archive" and moving posts there? Is there some automated thing that happens to allow posts to be moved to the "Archives" ?

Hi lws96,
This extension will create 5 rows in the "config" table and 2 rows in the "modules" table, that's all.
No post to be moved.

Really simple : what is the purpose of this extension ?
Not a taunt, just asking because I can't see the interest...

That doesn't really describe what it does, at all.

when I enabled your ext I got this error
when I went to look at my system
I had to manually delete your ext to get back into the board.
Fatal error: Can't use function return value in write context in /public_html/new/ext/o0johntam0o/archive/event/viewonline_listener.php on line 65

I started by clearing the cache then used the ext upload to install your extension then disabled it and deleted all data then used ftp program to delete all your files reuploaded the new one in the link and still recieved the error after enabling it.

Please try this:
Open: ext/o0johntam0o/archive/event/viewonline_listener.php
Find: if (substr($session_page, 8, 7) === 'archive')
Before-add: Return 0;

Not sure what happen, I'll correct it later.

I added that and still received the error
I was able to remove the error by removing this section
protected function check_ext_page($session_page)
{

if (substr($session_page, 8, 7) === 'archive')
{
if (empty(substr($session_page, 15 , 1)) || substr($session_page, 15 , 1) == '?' || substr($session_page, 15 , 1) == '/')
{
return 1;
}
}

return 0;
}
I have no idea what that section does but removing it allowed me to get back into the board
and see what your ext is doing The achive button seems to be working and showing forums and messages in the forums. It looks good and I like it.

I have a suggestion
when a post has pictures in it using achive shows
!cid_001e01c7ec8f$bccbf4b0$2f01a8c0@user18xwfkrieb.jpg

can that be replaced with See full story to view picture?
or add that to the end of the picture string?
