That is probably because you should be using ext/david63/cookiepolicy - there is no "s" in it!
Taka51 wrote:I uploade extensions by extending [BETA] of boardtools "Upload Extension"
As that extension is not validated it should not be being used on a live board.

The config setting "version_cookiepolicy" unexpectedly does not exist.

This is happenning after upgrade to 1.1.3.

phpbb3 v.3.1.6
SOLVED!!!

Before I activate this extension, I went in phpmyadmin, and created a new line in phpbb_config table with this inside:

config_name: version_cookiepolicy
config_value: 1.1.0 (dont put 1.1.3)
is_dynamic: 0

After that, extension was activated normally and its working fine!

Not needed, the github repo has been updated and the extension installs perfectly fine now.

Then try it again. I just downloaded it from github and it installed fine. Your choice, do as you seem fit.

It also installs fine using the upload extension extension.

I tried again and error is still there. What I did:

1 - Desactivated extension.
2 - Removed datas.
3 - Deleted extension in host and uploaded a fresh copy.
4 - Tried to activate. I got the same error: "The config setting "version_cookiepolicy" unexpectedly does not exist."
5 - Tried to activate again. Same error.
6 - Tried to activate again. Same error.
7 - Removed datas.

After that, I created a new line in phpbb_config table with this inside:

config_name: version_cookiepolicy
config_value: 1.1.3 <=== This time I tried with 1.1.3
is_dynamic: 0

8 - Tried to activate again. Same error.
9 - Tried to activate again. WORKED!
10 - Everything is working fine. If I desactivate extension and remove datas, I have to insert the line in database again and repeat steps 8 and 9.

So, I may repeat this error as many times as I want. Its clear there is a bug with "version_cookiepolicy" variable. It loks like extension are not able to create this line in database (but is able to delete it).

@RMcGirr83: Did you get Portuguese-Brazil translation here? https://www.sendspace.com/file/6wwzy0

I have created another new forum just to install and try this extension. It worked without problems but variable "version_cookiepolicy" was created as "1.1.0". Why?

Because the migration files haven't been kept up to date with the version in composer probably.

In the latest commit the version config var has been removed.

Thanks Rich - unfortunately there are other things in my life at the moment that are taking priority and I am not able to give my full attention.

There some reason as to why my fork is now aimed at some tweagle repository thing? If you didn't want the commits you could have simply stated so.

Seems I wasted my time here, something I do not appreciate.

Hi.

After upgrading to 3.1.6, the Cookie Policy box doesn't show anymore.
URL: http://testbruns.altervista.org

What could it be, the reason?

Kind Regards

It's there for me on the above link.

If you have accepted the Cookie Policy then the box does not show.

Sorry guys - I had a problem with GitHub, for some reason no pulls or commits were working and after spending about three hours trying everything that I could find I concluded that it was easier to zap it and re-create it.
