Your version check file is invalid. It is missing an "announcement" tag.
Dictated but not read.

Today the file was updated. An "announcement" tag is already there.
Have you checked it?

Please update the Spanish translation (there're two new variables in 3.1.1-RC2). :)

I would like to ask how can I choose a directory for saving zip files?
I can tick the " Save uploaded zip file" option, but I don't see any other options.
I've described it in Readme file.

Managing zip files
You can do the following actions with zip files uploaded with Upload Extensions:
  • Save them in the directory of your choise. To do that tick the flag Save uploaded zip file near the upload button. To change the directory for saving zip files of uploaded extensions navigate in the ACP to General -> Server configuration -> Server settings -> Path settings -> Extensions' zip packages storage path.
  • ....
Thank you for the explanation. I didn't read the Readme file (shame on my). I thought, that I can select different folder for each file during uploading of a file (BTW I don't need such a feature), so I didn't look to the "Server settings".

Now I found it and have probably silly question about it. In explanation is written:

Code: Select all

if you want to prohibit those downloads, you can change it to the path that is upper by one level than http root of your website
Is this mean website (domain) root, or forum root?

It means a directory that is upper by one level than your domain http root.
Normal users won't be able to access that directory through http.
For example, you can have the following structure of directories:
.DOMAIN_ROOT
|
---httpdocs (this folder is http root) --- phpbb - ...
|
---tmp
|
---cgi-bin
|
---your_folder - extension_zips_go_here

Normal users are able to access only files in 'httpdocs', not in 'your_folder'.

Thank you again for the explanation. I think I will not use it (folder above http root), but I wanted to try it so I created folder above http root, changed successfully folder path for zip files in the "Server settings", but when I try to upload extension I see this message:

Code: Select all

Unable to open file [rb]

Have you set the right permissions for the newly created directory?

The extension was upgraded to the new version.

Extension Version: 3.1.1-RC3 (Release announcement)

We are still waiting for updates of language packages.
We ask translators to update their language packages for our extension. Only the variables marked with // to translate need translating.
Last language changes were made in 3.1.1-RC2.
No other language changes will be made until the final version 3.1.1.

New features and improvements:
- Ability to safely update other extensions. (IMPROVED in 3.1.1-RC3)
- Ability to download on your PC previously saved zips. (NEW in 3.1.1-RC3)

Especially we are waiting for updates of German and Persian language packages.

If you have already installed the version 3.1.1-RC2, an update will be very easy!
Simply click on Update buttons on the Upload Extensions page.

Now you can test this new functionality of automatic updates in practice.
Please report if you find any bugs or if you need any help.
