Re: [RC] Upload Extensions

Post by LavIgor »

I had the same errors after uploading RC6 files.
Deleting cache files container_dotslash.php and container_dotslashdotdotslash.php should help.

But as for your logs, they refer to './phpbb/event/extension_subscriber_loader.php' on your server.
'./phpbb/event/extension_subscriber_loader.php' was removed in previous RC versions.
It seems that you have some problems with class_loader.php or other file.

Have you updated all your files to RC6 (and previous versions before)?

Yeah I'm pretty sure all files have been updated. Although I did update right from RC3 to RC6...

Thank you!

The ability to upload files directly from github.com was implemented!
The repository on GitHub was updated.

No language changes are needed for this version (and the version number wasn't changed).

Maybe something went wrong during the update (or maybe the update script was wrong).
Version RC3 has extension_subscriber_loader.php which isn't present in RC6.

Please check your class_loader.php and compare it with RC6 version file.

I made sure to download the RC3 to RC6 automatic update zip...

Also checked class_loader.php. Replaced it with the RC6 version. Didn't fix it...:(

If you want, I can give you temporary FTP access to try to see if you can fix it (since I have no clue)..?

I don't know the reason of the problem but as I can see it is not related to the extension.

Have you cleared the cache?
Do you have DEBUG mode enabled?

Hmm...
It's strange that the errors appear only during uploading process.
Maybe I can do some investigation if you want.

I uploaded old extension and it shows me "The “nickvergessen/newspage” extension is not valid.
Required meta field license has not been set.". The thing is I'm not able to delete the uploaded extension via your extension. I can (obviously) delete it with FTP client, but I kind of missing option to delete it via your extension.

There was a moment when the field license was renamed.

Our extension lets you delete only uninstalled extensions.
If you try to install a broken extension, some information can be saved even then.

You should go to 'Manage extensions' -> '<Your broken extension>' -> 'Delete data' and only then you can delete it completely by our extension. ;)

There is not option 'Delete data' on side of my broken extension:

It's because the license of your extension isn't valid and therefore it isn't displayed in the list.

You can safely delete by ftp or rename licence as license in composer.json and then delete it in upload extensions.

If it was earlier enabled there maybe is a record in your db in table (prefix) ext with ext_name "nickvergessen/newspage".

Thank you.
I didn't upload the extension earlier, so there shouldn't be any data in db. I uploaded it with this "Upload Extensions" extension and it got to the state you can see on linked picture. I just thought there could be link/button to delete uploaded broken extensions (like the one I tried), which are not installed.
