That's weird.
Anyway if you decide to update, you can backup the _thanks database table, uninstall and delete the old extension, then restore the table and install the new extension over it. That should work.

It worked for me as well.
Not for me.
Finally I had no choice to uninstall the extension completely and install the new version from scratch.

Phpbb is showing most active forum and topic, but who cares about activity... This extension can show us the best from user!

when changing the author of some topic the same continues to receive notifications of thanks, is this a bug?

Where are the data saved at? For example: this user's thanks count is 275. Where is this number saved? In a table in database or in ext folder?

phpbb_thanks database table. But there's no any simple thanks count saving as a digit. it's being counted on the fly.

Yes, you can, from the Profile view. There are two lists (given/received thanks) at the bottom and a button to clear them.
