How do I go about moving the thanks button from the top right of posts to the bottom left?

Before upgrading to phpbb 3.1, there used to be an option to hit the Thanks button within the Tapatalk app. Now it isn't showing up as an option. Any idea if that is due to this new extension or due to the new Tapatalk extension?

Small bug in prosilver: If you have a forum, to which user cannot reply and/or report posts (= no control panel buttons), the "thanks" button will not show up, even if the user has "can thank to post" permisson. Thanks.

Edit: Temporary solution - search for this pattern in /styles/prosilver/template/viewtopic_body.html:

Code: Select all

<!-- IF postrow.U_EDIT or postrow.U_DELETE or postrow.U_REPORT or postrow.U_WARN or postrow.U_INFO or postrow.U_QUOTE -->
and change it to

Code: Select all

<!-- IF postrow.U_EDIT or postrow.U_DELETE or postrow.U_REPORT or postrow.U_WARN or postrow.U_INFO or postrow.U_QUOTE or S_FORUM_THANKS -->

Hmmm...it looks like I have the option to Thank threads now, but not individual posts.

I tried this but it did not work, dunno if it a sufficient hack. Try it and tell us if it works for you.

Check the extension options on the ACP. There is a relevant setting.

I still can't get the Thanks button to show up in Tapatalk. It shows up on the regular site and on mobile browsers, but not in the Tapatalk app.

That would be up to you I suppose, but it is never recommended to use extensions that are under development on live forums as they can present unwanted behavior (bugs).

When they come up to the stage of release candidates they are relatively safe to use, but still not actually ready for use on live forums.

I still wouldn't recommend it. It's still in development which means backward incompatible changes can be made.

Do you have any vision when the first beta or RC will come to live?

Hi rxu, I found a little problem with your language file:

Inside thanks_mod.php there is a key 'RETURN_POST'. However, the same key is also in phpBB's language/*/mcp.php. Because of this, some actions in MCP (for example post approval) use your translation instead of phpBB's.

Thanks for fixing :).
