If you read the discussion by the link given, you saw I've contacted him. Currently I'm unable to dig into his extension deeply to find out how does it work due to the lack of time, plus I believe the ext author can do it much better.

With the release today of 3.1.5, can the plugin be used yet on production boards?

No extensions should be used on production boards until validated and released by phpBB extensions team.
If you do, you do it on your own risk.

I figured as much, thanks. Is there any idea when the extensions team might release the extension?

When the author submits it to the database.

There is an old saying, which seems adequate here: "It's ready, when it's ready" :D

This aside ... it's in production use on quite a few sites already. As you can see from this thread.

Hello friends,

I´m running the 3.1.5 Version of phpbb with subway theme but the Extensionen content only appears in ACP.
Is it because of the theme or doesn´t it works with 3.1.5?

Best wishes

Hi,

it’s for this style. This extension works only on 3.1.5 since this modification: https://github.com/rxu/thanks_for_posts ... 5759b7b54f (source: viewtopic.php?p=14120611#p14120611).
