Extension Name: Detailed viewonline
Author: rxu

Extension Description:: Provide more detailed information about a place on the board on viewonline page.
Extension Version:: 1.0.0 (unstable)

Requirements:
  • phpBB 3.1.0-RC3 or later
Development repository: https://github.com/rxu/detailed_viewonline

Download URL: Download button named "Download ZIP" can be found at the development repository page.
Installation: Extension files should be extracted to /ext/rxu/DetailedViewonline/ folder. Then the extension should be enabled in ACP as usually.

Precaution: As the ext is still in development, major changes still can be applied which could require full extension purging and reinstallation, so use it on your own risk. DO NOT install it on production boards. For testing purposes only.

Your extension doesn't really do anything with the database. I think you can get rid of the migration files completely ;).

PayBas, currently yes, but what about effectively_installed() and $config['detailed_viewonline_version'] :P

So? They don't actually do anything at this point.

Your extension doesn't modify the database. So the DB doesn't care which version you have installed. Basically all it currently does is add a version number to the DB... which isn't used anywhere.

There's nothing "wrong" with this. It's just unnecessary.

I like the look of this thanks, I'm about to try it out :)

Edit: OK, upon testing, some users are showing as normal, and some are showing detailed. (Gusts and registered/bots etc). Will this be a sessions thing?

This is due to known phpbb 3.1.1 core bug related to the user page link generation. Will be fixed in 3.1.2.
