Yes, I did that but, it reads: "...Remove any of its sub modules and afterwards remove the category itself."

Where are the sub modules? How do I delete them? I assume they are the same as the "children" mentioned in the Error message mentioned above?

Thanks,

Kerry

A Wishlist post:

- the ability to add small article icons to the post/news, example:
http://www.2012apocalypse.pl
- the ability of selecting groups with access to post threads on news page
For example on forum TEST can post everyone but only posts made by members of group A will be showing on portal page and these news can be commented on the forum of course.
- Lates Topics side panel integration
- Team Speak Viewer side panel integration

Will the portal be easily ported to other 3.1 prosilver based styles?

Update:

I had B3P working with phpBB several versions ago on http://www.comcom121.org/phpBB/index.php.

I made the error of trying to update B3P without deleting the old version of it when I updated phpBB to 3.1.0.

I now have phpBB 3.1.4.

I've deleted the board3 directory from the ext directory.

ACP > System tab > Module Management shows ACP_Portal_Info and ACP_Portal. Both are Disabled.

Following the github instructions—when I click the red X to Delete them I get:
  • Error: Unable to remove module, it has assigned children. Please remove or move all children before performing this action.
How do I delete the children?
Where are they located?

Thanks, Kerry

phpBB 3.1.4

The children er submenus to the one you are trying to delete.
Click on the name of the module and it will take you down the tree.

Hi Mess,

Please tell me where these sub menus are located.

Where do I find the module you are talking about?

Thanks,

Kerry

Update: I believe I found them, about a dozen, that require manual deleting of each one—yes?

I just uploaded board3 to ext directory and ACP > Customise > Manage Extensions> enabled Board3 Portal but I don't see what to do next. http://www.comcom121.org/phpBB/ When I click on the word Portal it's a blank page.

I want to be able to redirect or when i type clan-tac.com that it would go straight into the portal, so when that people visit my site clan-tac.com it will go straight into the portal instead of the index/forums. how would i make that happen? like instead when i click on the portal link on my page, and instead of being http://clan-tac.com/app.php/portal it would be http://clan-tac.com without having the app.php/portal. any help would be appreciated

and also when i click on home it will take me to http://clan-tac.com instead of index/forums. thanks in advance.

The copyright footer of board3 is now breaking the responsive layout when only using the right (or left column).

I don't like the concept of two separated copyright footers anyways, much rather see it appended to the stock copyright notice at the bottom so it would read something collated like

I would like the flags block down to move to the portal. I added the following changes, but unfortunately does not work. What am I doing wrong and how to get it working properly?

ext\board3\portal\styles\prosilver\template\portal\modules
flags_center.htm

Code: Select all

{$C_BLOCK_H_L}{$TITLE}{$C_BLOCK_H_R}
<div class="panel bg1 portal-no-margin" id="flags">
   <ul class="topiclist bg1">
      <li class="header">
         <dl>
            <dt><div class="list-inner"><!-- IF U_FLAGS --><a href="{U_FLAGS}"><!-- ENDIF -->{L_NATIONAL_FLAGS}<!-- IF U_FLAGS --></a><!-- ENDIF --></div></dt>
         </dl>
      </li>
   </ul>
   <ul class="flags">
   <!-- BEGIN flag -->
      <li class="bg1">
         <a href="{flag.U_FLAG}">{flag.FLAG}</a><br />{flag.L_FLAG_USERS}
