Extension Download: Download button named "Download ZIP" can be found at the development repository page.
Installation: Extension files should be extracted to /ext/tatiana5/CategoriesInTabs/ folder. Then the extension should be enabled in ACP as usually.

Precaution: As the ext is still in development, major changes still can be applied which could require full extension purging and reinstallation, so use it on your own risk. DO NOT install it on production boards. For testing purposes only.

This works on phpBB 3.1.0-RC3, 3.1.0-RC4-dev and style - prosilver
Do you have a link to board where ext don't work?

this extension could mash your index page in half by the look of it

I mean it's a quite revolutionary idea but looking at the screenshot, where are the descriptions of the categories? they're hidden?

looks like it reduces the height of the forums index to just one "row" which is very compact and as I said - quite revolutionary - never seen this proposed before - would be a mighty solution to anyone who wanted a tiny index page

I think this could go hand in hand with the RECENT TOPICS extension. if you had RECENT TOPICS, which takes a fair amount of height in the index page - actually I wonder if you could increase the amount of RECENT TOPICS to make a huge height, THEN use this TABS extension as a kind of "minimal" answer to accessing all the categories should members really want to

because let's face it, half the time, most members just click on Active Topics anyway and it's only newbies really who are even bothered to look at the full list of categories - anyway - very good idea - nice to have this option
