Private Message Box Status Bars

Description:
The mildly poplar and highly under-rated MOD has been re-imagined for phpBB 3.1! This extension adds a graphical representation to private message boxes of the space used/remaining.

This extension is a port of my PM Box Progress Bars MOD from phpBB 3.0.x.

Features:

On first view progress bar has an animated loading effect
Works for all PM boxes (in, out, sent and custom folders)
Alert status - bar turns red within 20% of a full PM box
Does not display while folder is at 0%
Supports Prosilver and Prosilver-child styles
Supports RTL languages

Requirements:

phpBB 3.1.0-RC3 or higher
PHP 5.3.3 or higher

Repository: https://github.com/VSEphpbb/pmbars

Installation:

Download the latest release and unzip it.
Copy the entire contents from the unzipped folder to phpBB/ext/vse/pmbars/
Navigate in the ACP to Customise -> Extension Management -> Extensions.
Find Private Messages Progress Bars under "Disabled Extensions" and click Enable.

Important: This Extension can only be installed on phpBB 3.1. Do NOT use this on a live board. It should only be installed for testing purposes or just to check it out. No support will be provided.

that's a pretty good idea

Never even heard of that before but I know the limits just "sneak up" on people, the next thing they know they are being presented with a full inbox and "their options" so this is good

Can you make the scan lines on the danger zone light pink and make the background dark red?

Can you test it out? I just want to see what it looks like.

No, but you can. Play around with the CSS file.

I was thinking about.

What does RC mean anyways!? I already know what Beta, Alpha, and Dev means, but this acronym remains unknown -- for me.

You're right Volksdevil, and 'Release Candidate' means the extension is practically ready for it's final release. Which means submission to the extension database

It depends on what needs to be fixed or changed otherwise you could get a RC2 ect

Done the above (copy the content in /ext/vse/pmbars), but no extension to find in the ACP.

Install the "Upload Extensions" extension, installation of "Private Messages Progress Bars" was very easy!
