[CDB] TinyMCE Add-On for Pages extension

Post by John P » Tue Oct 21, 2014 9:32 pm

Description: Pages addon transforms the Official Pages extension in a real WYSIWYG editor. It uses tinyMCE including pagebreaks for adding more pages in your page. It can only be installed if Pages is enabled off course.

Requirements: Repository: https://github.com/ForumHulp/pageaddon

Installation:
  • Copy the entire contents of the repository to ext/forumhulp/pageaddon/
  • Navigate in ACP to Customize -> Extension Management -> Extensions.
  • Click Page Addon Enable.
  • Or use Upload Extension.

Could probably use a more descriptive name ;).

Something like: "WYSIWYG addon for Pages extension"

I do wonder if it is possible for you to add a small feature. A group which can edit the pages stuff through a control panel besides the admin. this can be set by admin like editors. so having editors panel so they can edit pages.

You have to ask this to the developers of the official pages.
This add-on only changes the editor.

Great mod, although is it possible for you to add a preview function?

Why is this add-on versioned 3.1.0 ??? It's a brand new extension, it should be 1.0.0. (same goes for the upload extension)

Extensions should not derive their version numbers from phpBB. They are separate apps, that follow their own development paths. It's best they should follow semantic versioning.

@Myllox

Yes test please, waiting for validating.

@VSE
All the 3.1 extension are versioned 3.1.... simply to have difference between the 3.1 and 3.0 versions. It's just a number so it's saying nothing but for me it's handy in my db. More authors have a different version-system I saw.
