Very nice!

How come when I upload via Upload Extensions the name of the ext on the Manage Extensions page is "phpBB Gallery Add-on: Exif"?

EXIF is Add-on.

You should see phpBB Gallery and phpBB Gallery Add-on: EXIF

Guys - This is DEV state extension. Some things work, some don't. Sorry but I will keep working on my own pace and try to deliver as good one as possible. It has bugs, it has issues, but it's still in development stage.

Give me time ...

This is extension in active development and it is not for faint of heart or those not having at least some little more then basic knowledge of how phpBB 3.1 works.

Hi,

Did some quick and dirty tests. Im not a coder but if I did the change below in "core/controller/upload.php" it works to upload files

Code: Select all

//'S_ALBUM_ACTION'              => append_sid('./gallery/album/'. $album_id .'/upload'),
'S_ALBUM_ACTION'                => $this->helper->route('phpbbgallery_album', array('album_id' => $album_id)).'/upload',
But now another issue came up, when I pressed continue and the files uploads I get to this screen:
Image

In there the images wont show up
When I look at the html I see this:

Code: Select all

<img src="http://192.168.4.101/phpBB3/gallery/image/6/mini" alt="10415597_841255752575469_7704927613156007516_n" title="10415597_841255752575469_7704927613156007516_n">
Its missing "app.php" in the URL and also shouldn't they have a path without the "http://192.168.4.101/" instead of the full URL?

And now when I click countinue i get this again: "The requested URL /phpBB3/gallery/album/1 was not found on this server"

If I now go back to the gallery I see the images and everything but still some paths are wrong:

Hello,

Thanks for the route change ... this is added to the latest push. About the missing image - the url is fine. There is something else there. When you have a missing image, please try to open it's address directly and tell me what you see.

There seems to be something funky with the way your board works with routing, I will try cleaning bugs.

Found a few missing language strings

Code: Select all

        'LAST_IMAGE_BY'                                 => 'Last Image By',
        'RETURN_TO_GALLERY'                             => 'Return to Gallery',
        'QUICK_MOD'                                     => 'Quick-mod tools',

Also could you add a default image for the album if the album is empty?

Looks kind of strange

Good Morning,

started with fresh installation.

If I create a new album in the ACP then it works.
User can not create own albums.

Upload pictures and turn them works only in the first upload level, when I select the file.
I did not see the immage, so i must know how to turn.
After continue I see the immage but if i turn it, i only see a white screen.
The immage then not uploaded to the album.

I see, it is a long way to get gallery, as nickvergessen make it for phpbb3.0.x :mrgreen:
but you are on the right way :D

In ACP i allowed guest to upload immage, but it did not work.

I can confirm this, as a guest I see this in the galley view:
You can upload new images in this album

But when clicking on upload I get this message:
You are not allowed to upload any images

Ummm ... mod_rewrite is a must as whole for the phpBB project ... this explains why you get all funky with routing.

        'QUICK_MOD'                                     => 'Quick-mod tools',
I will upload the language files. This is low prio issue.

Seen it. Know about it - low prio.
jOOc wrote:Also could you add a default image for the album if the album is empty?

Sure. There are no images (for the moment) for missing and unautorized. This is why you see empty image fields, not some thing telling you you can't. But this again is a low priority.

I will take a look. If you wan't you can open tickets in github. This way I can track them. Again string wrong is low prio. Everything that is in userspace (images, strings, tweaks) will have to wait until all darn thing is working as intended.

For the moment I am working on Moderator control panel (MCP). When I finish it I will start either notifications system or search (last 10 images, random, my own), then I will have to redo the log functionality, then make index really works.

You see this is not easy work and not small. Nickvergessen's project is huge and it at places is very easy to port it ... but at times you have to reinvent the wheel ... so give me time. I will deal with frontend/user issue when I have done the backend.

Once more - if you wan't to track your bugs - Github issues
